Are they not hand laid in blocks and then hoisted into place as a large slab of laid brick?

Are you sure about that? I didn't see any bricklayers laying brick. What I did see are slabs of pre-laid brick being added to the facade. If you look at the building facade it's quite easy to see the lines of seperation between the slabs of pre-laid brick added to the facade slab by slab...

Toronto Garrison Crossing (was Fort York Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge) | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Pedelta

This is going to be great. I can't wait to ride my bike through this new system of trail and park.... also looks like a great connection for residents of those buildings to King West. Better than hiking up boring old Strachan...

    Toronto PJ Condos | 156.96m | 48s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

This building looks great. I am considering buying a unit on assignment, but i have some doubts. There are better buildings coming up a few years later which less $ per sq. ft., but I love the location. The number of 5 start hotels in the area is expanding. What do people think about this...

I've been watching this thread for a while, and decided to join today. I'm looking at a few different buildings and hopefully can purchase something resale eventually or on assignment. This one stands out to me for as both a place to live and an investment (perhaps a second unit in the...
