GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Who knows? Maybe they need extra time to prepare when ridership explodes as more people go to work and students go to school. That could also be a sign when GO would be implementing major increases. The TTC says it will increase subway service on Lines 1 and 2 this September.

Maybe later they would add the concrete sidewalks, just wait and see.

While somewhere in Mississauga, I went to check out the 401 construction at Mississauga Road:

Nice. This 404 widening is expected to be finished next year, not this year.

Also it's interesting to know that service on TTC 129A McCowan North, Markham's busiest north-south bus route, was more frequent in 2003 compared to today. Does that make sense when the region is growing and congestion is getting worse?

You can tell how irresponsible GO transit is these days.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Rode the 25 Waterloo bus to Square One from Cambridge today at around 1:13 pm and the bus is dangerously at capacity. I was still able to board the bus but there are almost no seats left and the service still runs hourly when it should be every half and hour because of many U of Waterloo and...

Roads: Highway 401 Widening - Highway 8 to Highway 410 (MTO, U/C, Planned)

You can avoid some of that backup by detouring onto Highway 409 and Highway 427 and back onto 401.

Roads: Highway 401 Widening - Highway 8 to Highway 410 (MTO, U/C, Planned)

While I have not made a video of the widening, I took some photos of the 401 widening from Milton to 407 interchange while on a GO bus.

Totally agreed with you. Markham transit is small for a city with over 350,000 people.

GO really needs to bring back pre pandemic 20-30 minute service levels on the 16 Hamilton express. That route is proven very popular.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

401 is usually constantly moving between McCowan road and Salem Road because the highway is pretty wide and there are less people living east of Toronto than west of the city like Peel.

Roads: Highway 401 Widening - Highway 8 to Highway 410 (MTO, U/C, Planned)

While on a GO bus heading to and from Waterloo region, I filmed the 401 widening project from Highway 407 to Regional Road 25 and another section through Cambridge: 407 to Regional Road 25: Regional Road 25 to 407: Townline Road to Hespeler Road:

I don't think they are behind schedule. The spring season has just started and they are just about to start construction for the season.

That's probably have to do with the Bradford Bypass.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

We went to London back on July 2nd, and traffic on that highway even west of Highway 403 is still very decent, but I do agree it does need some widening within the next few decades.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The 401 just from Kitchener to Toronto is very busy, west of Highway 8, traffic is much better.

Huh? Why there will be no weekday rush hour service on route 16?
