TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

4439 shouldn't be too far behind. Saw a picture of it on instagram undergoing water testing.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

You can set the concession at the time of purchase. When you register it, it will already have the student concession on it.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I went and programmed my card using my health card as ID but I believe a passport will do as well. I'm surprised your kids don't have student ID cards since every school in my area including mine needs one.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

This could become problematic when they implement a transfer sound instead of the current accepted sound. IIRC, Brad Ross stated on Twitter that this is a feature that is going to be implemented. This could cause problems when you hop on at a stop that isn't a transfer point and it accepts it as...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Because of the sheer amount of flexities running on 504 today, they had to position a supervisor with a walkie talkie in communication with transit control on the platform at Broadview to get all the CLRVs moving to prevent the flexities being stuck on Broadview. They already had to sent 5 cars...

15 flexities are out on 504 right now.

    TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

I don't get why these gates can't be reset by the collector. In London if a gate fails, the station supervisor would just open up the access panel inside the fare gate and punch in a code for it to reset the gates. Why can't this responsibility be placed on the collector since it impacts revenue...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Got 4 flexity runs today on 504. 4422-4424, 4429 are on it currently. This is the most amount of scheduled flexity runs to date according to my observations.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Looks like the Sunday Flexity runs are starting to run on Saturday as well. 4408 and 4417 are running on 504 right now. EDIT: 4419 has joined as well.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I'm guessing that they haven't updated the stop announcements for every route on the flexities. The ones that run on 504 still announce Simpson Ave when that stop has been renamed Jack Layton Way for years.

    TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

Well considering that this is at the GO station end, most would already be using a presto card. As for the lowered target, I believe that was a recommendation by ACAT as they argued that some would not be able to tap at the normal height.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Looks like they are finally going to introduce a transfer indicator on the readers. https://twitter.com/bradTTC/status/844607751863091200

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The most they could do was build trains with a ventilation system similar to the ones in Montreal for the Victoria Line with the 2009 stock trains. EDIT: trains are made by Bombardier as well.

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Looks like the renaming will be on May 7 according to the ACAT minutes at the next TTC meeting.

It was probably 4432 on its burn-in run.

4406 and 4423 are running on regular scheduled runs today on 504 with 4420 running as an extra. Here's 4420 at Broadview and Gerrard.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I've been noticing these last couple of weeks that the guards on line 2 have all moved to the last car of their train. At first I thought that something was wrong with the fifth car but it looks like the change is going to be permanent.
