Even keeping the the vertical elements flush with the building, and getting rid of cantilevering the tower on top the podium could've simplified it enough to make it less of an issue. Not a good solution, but wouldn't have made it stand out as much perhaps.

Passed by the other day, and it seems like they've started on some of the structural work and hard landscaping.

It's a shame this structure will covered by one massive wall and not window or curtain wall! Something similar to the Goldring UofT gym.

Sure it It can :) it's just one person's opinion. You can also take that "only" with a grain of salt, a sense of humour, and a the tiny hint of sarcasm it was intended with.

It seems like the building will surround it, and not build over it (built on the lots east and north of it). Its a great design but the massing, and footprint specifically, can only be described as obnoxious.

Such a shame to value engineer only the top max 5% of the buildings exterior. But I agree, a darker coat of paint might save this. Here's to hoping!
