    Toronto U of T: Schwartz Reisman Innovation Centre (Phase 1) | 64.8m | 13s | U of T | Weiss/Manfredi

That part of town is reserved for much more elevated and awe inspiring architecture of the Waterfront Innovation Centre. 🤣

HAHAHA! Sorry, but this is just funny at this point. 🤣 1 Yorkville, but make it black.

    Toronto 401 Bay Street | 143.86m | 33s | Cadillac Fairview | WZMH

Very very impressive! Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, it still manages to exceed all expectations!

Toronto The James at Scrivener Square | 88.21m | 23s | Tricon | COBE Architects

This is giving major Mirvish Village vibes. Not that's a bad thing, just hopefully the cladding can be a little more elevated to support the location/pricing.

    Toronto Toronto House | 186.53m | 58s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

This was a sleeper. Even after a few panels, it's already a standout in a sea of grey dull entrainment district condo towers. Shows what great cladding can do. Ey! Nobu, are you watching this??

Hopefully the balcony railings don't end up ruining it all.

    Toronto The Pemberton | 215.79m | 68s | Pemberton | a—A

One of the biggest issue this same developer has with U Condos is the elevators. I know several people who moved out because of how painful it was to get one. Especially when one of them had a technical issue that wasn't resolved for months, and another gets used for moving. It was/still is...

    Toronto Strada | 31.39m | 7s | RioCan Living | Turner Fleischer

Ooooh! Same luxury finishing as the back of Nobu!

The street level townhouses too? Sadly the bar is so low we'd consider two towers with wrap around balconies "great". They also did cheapen out majorly on finishing there too (as someone who rented there for a bit) The hope is that with this being their signature condo tower, with the name...

Woah! At the rate they're going, phase 2 will be done before the One is even at the tenth floor.

    Toronto AYC Condos | 92.05m | 27s | Metropia | TACT Architecture

It's that faux brown marble panelling at grade that gets me (in addition to the Cinder block of course), how did they think this was a good idea, even as a single panel sample, it's hideous.

Taken a couple of weeks back, but it's looking really sharp in person. Unfortunately I was driving by, couldn't get more shots.

    Toronto Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

It's certainly a good attempt to be commended. I just wish they added just ONE more colour, maybe some red brick, just break the 50 shades of grey (and white). Would've really made it standout.

Funny how these brown boxes changed the entire building for me. It was an ok glass box before, still is, but these boxes tie it back somehow to the structure it's growing out of.

    Toronto Park Hyatt Renovation | 62.48m | 18s | Oxford Properties | KPMB

I will try on my next walk in the area :) I'm limited to my iPhone though which gets grainy from a further distance.

While I have my reservations about the massing of new elements and the covered driveway, entrance. This reno is all about quality materials. A few close-ups from the last few days. Notice a cladding had a grain to it.

    Toronto The Rosedale on Bloor | 185.92m | 55s | Gupta | Arcadis

I walked by yesterday, and my first thought seeing only the tuna can cladding on the Bloor side was: "I can't wait to see all the hate this must be getting right now on UT" Turns out you've all been playing nice... or completely given up! 🤣

    Toronto Nobu Residences Toronto | 156.66m | 45s | Madison Group | Teeple Architects

I can't wait to share my Nobu sushi platter with the neighbours across the street. Real "communal dining" experience.
