    whether you are able to put a lump sum downpayment upon assuming tentative occupancy phase is another story. I am not sure if the builder would allow you to put more money (although it everything seems to benefit the builder if you do). Check your contracts carefully

    correct, but still valid to consider. Since you would not be able to get a mortgage when you assume occupancy, you would need to consider the monthly occupancy fee when saving up for closing.

    Not sure if it was already mentioned but the Tentative occupancy has been pushed back for the third time, to end of January 2013. This is to allow the builder time to construct the approved 3 additional floors. Has anyone calculated how many floors per week they have been building so far?
