    Toronto Waterfront Innovation Centre | 53.03m | 11s | Waterfront Toronto | Sweeny &Co

Yeah really. More like Aqualina: the office building.

    Toronto Tower at Pier 27 | 114.9m | 35s | Cityzen | a—A

There will be a park right across the street on QQ as par of the 1 Yonge redevelopment! My main concern here is that we'll be getting two more glass cubes with white accents. This will struggle to become an inviting neighbourhood without a little diversity in colour and materiality.

15 Wellesley E (Parking lot redevelopment, Plaza, ?s, Quadrangle)

Does anyone have an update on the fate of the lovely but unlisted 20 Maitland? There is loads of room on this site to work with it and around it. Would love to see it fully retained and sharply juxtaposed against a sleek tower a la Karma down the block.

    Toronto Women's College Hospital | 70.1m | 10s | P.E.B.

Blotchiness aside, the stone is still the best thing about this project. At least compared to the extensive seafoam spandrel, the lack of setbacks and generally looming massing, the graceless street level, the haphazard and particularly conspicuous vents on the discoloured, asymmetric mechanical...

Toronto Ryerson: Jarvis Street Residence | 97.53m | 30s | Ryerson University | IBI Group

You could post that on literally any active thread on UrbanToronto and it would be just as true ;)

    Toronto e2 at ePlace | 156.56m | 46s | Capital Developments | TACT Architecture

This is a real character building, one of the loveliest in the neighbourhood. I think we will really regret losing it in time.

    Toronto The Hill Condos | 29.26m | 9s | BSäR Group | Core Architects

But such is the beauty of incremental urbanism. A cozy little midrise will look great there someday. One must be patient with these things.

Toronto CityPlace: Canoe Landing Community Centre & Schools | 15.85m | 3s | City of Toronto | ZAS Architects

A mixed-use, street-facing development with underground parking is hardly suburban.

    Toronto 86 John Street | 42.97m | 10s | Tawse | Sweeny &Co

Would love to see a notch cut out at street level to accommodate the existing building. Seems like a simple way to save a 150 year old structure, fix the abysmal ground floor entry they have planned, and retain everything else that is so slim and sleek and wonderful about this project...

    Toronto 135 Yorkville | 46.33m | 11s | Camrost-Felcorp | WZMH

Great photos! Does anyone know if we'll see different tones to the glazing here at each step-back (kind of like at the Globe & Mail Centre)? I can't tell if the rendering is teasing me or not. Either way, I'm surprised this one seems to be flying under the radar. The massing, scale and curtain...

    Toronto 101 Spadina Avenue | 133.95m | 39s | Devron Developments | AUDAX

You've just described what a park is. What's your point? Although I'm sure there are many who would prefer to maximize density here, I'm also sure these same voices would have been pushing for more density when Berczy was nothing but a parking lot. But over the long haul, most of us commend...

    Toronto 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

It's almost like there's more to good architecture than efficiency.

Toronto Richmond Adelaide Centre: EY Tower | 188.05m | 40s | Oxford Properties | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Apologies if this is old news, but I just noticed that the thunderbirds have taken roost in the driveway

    Toronto Bisha Hotel and Residences | 146.91m | 44s | Lifetime | Wallman Architects

Without the fins, I suspect this building might end up fading into said Festival Tower cluster. Given this building's potential, what a shame that would be.

    Toronto JAC Condos | 108.5m | 34s | Graywood | Turner Fleischer

Managed to snap a quick shot on the streetcar this morning as the fire was dying down. Assuming the building didn't deteriorate much further since this photo was taken, I don't see why a facadectomy isn't still possible. Though I'm sure the developer's zeal to tear the sucker down has caught...

Toronto Richmond Adelaide Centre: EY Tower | 188.05m | 40s | Oxford Properties | Kohn Pedersen Fox

Agreed for the time being. But I'm optimistic this will change as that pointy northeast corner continues to grow. Even more so if the crown delivers.

    Toronto QRC West (Queen Richmond Centre West) | 71.93m | 17s | Allied | Sweeny &Co

Thank god the Queen West HCD protects us from sentiments like this.

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

It's a new park-fronting development steps from the waterfront. How is that much better?

    Toronto Eight Cumberland | 170m | 51s | Great Gulf | a—A

Agreed with @maestro. Phony would be tacky neo-Victorian rowhouses trying to blend in. These, on the other hand, look like a tasteful attempt to highlight and soften the individual retail units. Besides, based on the precedents set by recent projects, what alternative might we expect? An...

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Facadism is exactly what's already proposed. I'm not sure exactly how I feel about F+P's heritage choices here. But I don't see how relocating the Hue's facade is necessarily poor heritage preservation. This exact site is not of particular historical value (certainly no more than Stollery's)...
