    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

It's really a no brainer to keep the heritage building for obvious reasons. It's a stunning piece of architecture and history, and altering or demolishing any part of it would create such an uproar with the public and a PR disaster. I agree with all that the residential tower shouldn't be...

Eaton Centre IV (Cadillac Fairview, 1 million sf office space)

With Massey Tower across the street, this stretch of Yonge Street is starting to evolve.

Stockyards, The (30 Weston Rd. @ St. Clair, retail, Trinity, 2s, GreenbergFarrow)

Looks like a Vaughan Mills-type retail development. Not the greatest.

I'm going to miss the Adeliade Street Pub.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

It's steps to the subway and streetcars and Eaton Centre is right across the street. You don't need a car here. Automated parking systems has been used in Europe and Asia for more than 30 years, they should be reliable if done right.

^^^ that's too funny. I wonder how long will that paint last?

That is pretty much the reality these days, unfortunately. :(

It's going to look a lot like Vancouver.

Melting naked people and blood drippings, yeah! It's the opposite of "Live on Yonge"

Buying a condo pre-construction without an agent

There's VIP sales, then there are VVIP and VVVIP sales. The whole VIP sales system is very convoluted and misleading. I agree that if you are highly set on buying in a particular building before it is launched, than a very reputable agent with a strong history of VIP sales connections would...

    Toronto Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

I agree, price per sq.ft. Cityplace has the best values, and has some of the best amenities of any condo in the city. I noticed that many of their townhouse units are the slowest to sell (priced around $800-900k) which many are bought to be used for commercial. In my building there is a 1,700...

    Toronto Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

I was told $3-4 million each (still a rediculous amount). I'm guessing they haven't really finalized the price of these units until they get a serious buyer. Concord is having a hard time selling anything over $800,000 so dispite the novelty of being in the bridge it will be a very long time...

    Future Westbank Project (Bjarke Ingels)

Maybe trying to replicate the success of Absolute up north?

    Toronto CHAZ | 150.87m | 47s | 45 Charles Ltd | P + S / IBI

Exactly! They could've done something about it a while ago when they had the chance to fight the development along with the rest of the community. There will be more highrise condos packed on this small street, it will be interesting to see how Casa's BoD will react to these buildings.

    Toronto Bathurst College Centre | ?m | 4s | RioCan | Turner Fleischer

I am against building cheap disposable retail buildings, but also don't want to see a massive market-driven condo that overwhelms the area. I would like to see something similar in scale and massing as Ideal Lofts just around the corner, or B Streets Condo furthur up on Bathurst. Larger...

    Toronto Minto Westside | 68.88m | 20s | Minto Group | Wallman Architects

I also agree that the new design is a big improvement. In addition to the building in Copenhagen, it also follows the same aesthetic as 620 King West and Picasso, which are very nice buildings to follow. The Bathurst Street rendering still looks very massive, but it is interesting that the...

    Toronto Brant Park | 35.36m | 11s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Two nights ago workers were removing the large Brant Park banner that covered 434 & 436 Adelaide St. It was replaced with a Brad Lamb For Lease, 1 year lease, sign. So it sounds like demolition will not start for at least another year or so.

    Toronto M5V Condominiums | 118.87m | 35s | Lifetime | Core Architects

I think this will be a growing problem, with more and more condos being built at one time and buildings getting larger, contractors are having a hard time keeping up with tight schedules. Definitely keep a paper trail on every single problem so you have a record of communicating to the...
