Toronto Pan Am Village in the West Don Lands | ?m | ?s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

The amount of grey seems pretty inexcusable but I'm going to wait a little while longer until I declare a disaster. The commons, streetscaping and (hopefully true to the renderings) amount of green roofs could go a long way towards adding some colour to the neighbourhood. I agree though, not...

Can you guys please take this discussion to another thread. If it has nothing to do with updates regarding the Pan Am village it doesn't need to be here.

What about a scaled down variation of 3D's incredible 'Cathedral Square'? I was always a huge fan of that idea and his lovely design. Of course, the name would have to be changed, and the density scaled back a bit, but it would satisfy everyone's needs I think.

Why not build a deck over the tracks and flood it, creating a river? Then we'll have our very own Chicago River! We can even name it 'Chicago River'! We'll be World Class! All joking aside, this would be awesome.

    Toronto Underpass Park | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I think this looks like a great space, and something I personally never would have thought I would see in Toronto.

I'm sure this has been said before, but the effect this thing will have from Dundas Square is going to be massive. I was there the other night and picturing it made my head spin!

Wow, that is big. Here's to hoping it's absolutely spectacular and not just sort of nice. Thanks for the info, and congratulations on being the first to officially proclaim this one! Haha, just noticed that (very appropriately) the first three posts all began with 'wow'.

I got back from New York last night after an extra long weekend, and I couldn't agree with you more. The towers are great for that 'big city feel' most of us Torontonians are always after -- to look in any given direction and see an ocean of skyscrapers makes you feel like you're in the middle...

CATHEDRAL SQUARE - fictional piazza concept

Hey 3D, anything new to report on this front? It's such a fantastic idea, and something we really need in the city! Kyle Rae is on his way out soon enough, maybe his successor will be more 'available' to good ideas?

    Toronto Canoe Landing Park | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex

For anyone who has been there; Is there even a tobbagoning hill there? One not covered in trees? I thought a big hill designed specifically for sledding was supposed to be one of the features of the park that would make it unique.

Excellent, thanks for the list. What ever happened to Commissioner's Park? I can't find any mention of it on the towaterfront.ca.

You all need to stop joking about this. Whether this person was being foolish or not, this is not funny.

Wasn't there talk of the park having a premier tobogganing hill? It can't be that hill there; it looks small (albeit steep) and there are too many trees at the base.

I heard it's going to be a Mark's Work Wearhouse moving in at the former Thrift Store at Gough and Danforth. Horrible if true.

Yeah, that old restaurant at Logan has been closed as long as I can remember, and I've lived in the area for over twenty years. They still have napkins and salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Time warp indeed, reminds me of the Mr. Greek and Friendly Greek of old.

    Riverdale

Does anybody know what is going in at the South-East corner of Gough and Danforth, accross from the Starbucks? It used to be a thrift store but is not undergoing renovation. I always thought this would make a great spot for a small boutique hotel; something the neighbourhood could use. I also...
