Could there be more activation once the retail is all built out? There is going to be a lot going on in that space.

Take it for what it is worth. I heard they wanted to do this after the fire but would not get paid the insurance money if they did not rebuild what was there. The property has been in discussion for years as a redevelopment site.

So the hotel should have closed down this week for the exterior work to commence. In conjunction with that work, the hotel has closed to be renovated and will reopen in 2020 as a W Hotel. PS - I missed the earlier rumours. But no longer a rumour, that is for sure.

Crown's track record has been outstanding. They have repositioned numerous commercial buildings with amazing success. I can't think of one building they have nor done a great job on.

As far as I understand the building and construction are complete. The new tenants/ office condo owners may be working, but the building is complete.

I got a chance to tour the space when it was for sale. It had some interesting bones, but crazy challenges to use the space for other uses.

My daughter got to ride it on Saturday and she loved it. So much she went twice.

Very much still a parking lot, and no mobilization on the site. Drove by yesterday.

I happened to get above it last week.

The new restaurant should be open soon as well. That will be a great addition to the neighbourhood.
