    Toronto Fashion District Lofts | ?m | 10s | Freed | Core Architects

Did a bit of digging this week and it turns out the above comment is correct, the C of A did approve (with a couple of conditions) redevelopment of the site back in late 2005. I spoke with the planner for the district as well, he said there aren't any current redevelopment proposals on file...

I wasn't aware of any proposals or C of A approval for the site you're referring to, if there are any links you could post with the information I'd be interested to have a look at it.

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

I see that others were aware, just noticed this myself last week when I wandered by.

    Toronto Musée Condos | 53.95m | 17s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

I don't believe the plan involves the Waddinton's site, just the "Title Textile" building and parking lot. I think the proposal involves demolishing the buildings and then constructing the first few storeys in a similar brick warehouse style with the remaining top floors all glass.

.. exterior of this project looks to be mostly complete

    Toronto Musée Condos | 53.95m | 17s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

I did attend the meeting, and I don't recall a particularly warm reception for this project as presented (I think mostly based on its sheer size and to an extent the impact it would have on Adelaide Place). I think the Artscape artist lofts component was well received though.

    Toronto Fashion House | ?m | 12s | Freed | Core Architects

The interior of the 1-storey addition appears mostly gutted at this point (photo from last weekend).

http://boymelgreen.com/site/projects.php?typ=residential%20properties&coun=canada&tid=c1 The page link above shows their Canadian developments, but doesn't make reference to the Adelaide site at this point. I think their most recent completed project is the "50 On The Park" rental building...

Actually I'm a bit fuzzy on those details, you could be right, but for some reason I had it in my head that the 560 King structure would sort of wrap around behind the Silver Plate building and the main pedestrian connections would be on the east side of building (as seen in the rendering) and...

    Toronto Fashion House | ?m | 12s | Freed | Core Architects

I believe the plan for the 570 King site (as in the old proposal) is still to remove the 1-storey addition at the front, but the restored Silver Plate building would end up being all retail (I think under the old proposal the building was going to function as the main condo entrance). I...

    Toronto Fashion House | ?m | 12s | Freed | Core Architects

It would appear from the rendering and description on the website (http://www.fashionhousecondos.com/) that Freed has or is in the process of securing both 560 and 570 King (the text on the website says in part "we're starting with a 160-year-old heritage building"). So it seems the 2006...

Thanks to Mike for the notes on this and the other projects that were presented last night. I attended as well, but didn't take down any of the details. Mike - just wondering what your first impression of the rendering was? I liked the proposal and some of the details, but the size and design...

    Toronto Globe and Mail Headquarters: Never-Built | ?m | 18s | The Globe and Mail | KPMB

... just back from vacation and noticed the thread. Thanks to 3D for an interesting post. The perimeter is a rough outline, as far as I know the car dealership site is owned by the Globe, but I'm not aware of anything beyond that.

    Toronto Fashion District Lofts | ?m | 10s | Freed | Core Architects

^ I believe 570 King was allowed extra height based on the condition of maintaining and restoring the historically designated building on the King St side. It'll be interesting to see what ultimately gets approved at 560 King since this condition doesn't exist for the site.

... as far as I know the May commencement is still on track (my date is early September). A follow-up from one my earlier posts ... they've filled in the gaps between the pre-cast panels, looks quite a bit better. The colour is still patchy, but not as noticeable. There are still some...

    Toronto 540 King West | 50.66m | 15s | Allied | Hariri Pontarini

I think extending Morrison to King would significantly diminish the redevelopment potential of the 560 King site without adding a great deal of benefit for the block as a whole. From the OMB decision on 570 King St W (paragraph 2 mentions the lane from King to Morrison)...
