    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

And this being Toronto, there will be a lineup the first day anything opens.

The seemingly terminal decline of Tim Hortons

I actually don't mind the cruller ones!

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I'm not sure what game they're playing at, because they don't have to say anything, but David Rider's sources at the province say Ford doesn't intend to act quickly...

She doesn't seem to have shown that appraisal to the Global reporter, or even mentioned it.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

It's kind of a UT thing to speculate about wild stuff that will never happen, and Crossways getting torn down is one of those things.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I think there's reason for concern that the streets through the area will be lifeless year round, given their width. Like Front St in the Canary district.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I wonder if we can get David Rider over here to keep us updated on what his sources are telling him about the bargaining. I also wonder if we'll have some surprises like last time when they had a tentative deal but the workers voted it down. If there is a strike, I expect there'll be...

    Toronto Bike Share

Yes, I tightened the clamp as tight as I could, but it wasn't tight enough. The clamp needs adjusting.

    Toronto Bike Share

I had the same issue yesterday. I got a bike where the seat post didn't close tightly enough, so it kept sinking down as I went over bumps. I reported it, but couldn't clarify that it was just the seat, and not something that disabled the bike. This was the ios app.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I don't really understand what the news is here. She says Metrolinx has wrong information, and has a process to provide the right information, get her own appraisal, and recover her costs of that. If that hasn't been done, what's the point of the article? If Metrolinx has gone through that...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Maybe not the Swiss, but other countries like Iran and Russia also do this. But the "supporters" are not necessarily the people holding MP offices. They could be party officials, members, staff, etc.

    VIA Rail

Not that many years ago, Via didn't even assign seats in economy, at least between Toronto and Ottawa, which is the route I used to take somewhat regularly. Which is why people got used to forming huge lineups in the departure hall an hour or more before the train was scheduled to leave, so that...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

It's not really "all MPs", it's MPs from certain ethnic communities, which is pretty unfair. I think you're right that that's who much of the public suspect, though there are allegations those countries tried to influence the Conservative leadership race, so I don't think it's actually grounded...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The Ontario Court of Appeal went out of its way to say that it wasn't ruling out back-to-work legislation: https://canlii.ca/t/k4sms The one judge who dissented noted that it makes no sense to prohibit the government from acting proactively to prevent a harm that it may be allowed to address...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I think we poked much fun at them in the fall when they put out the last update indicating things were taking longer than normal because they'd recently discovered that the site was narrow and located between the Don River and a rail corridor, which complicated things.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

It would seem foolish to be tearing down any large apartment buildings when there are so many other places in the area where you could build without destroying much if any housing in the process.

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

(And there are even more voters in the millenial category who could throw the Gen X bums out and replace them, if they actually voted.)

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

I think when most people throw out "boomer" as an insult, they're actually thinking of Gen X people, and the tail end of the boomers. Sure the boomer retirees have more time to go to public meetings and complain about plans to build housing, but it's Gen Xers who hold most of the political and...

Just found the Star article, which I hadn't seen before. https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/ttc-union-tells-toronto-to-prepare-for-a-strike-friday-as-little-progress-made-in/article_bd0d3a52-21eb-11ef-baac-2f689fcbe1ed.html
