    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

The whole point of a carbon tax is to make burning carbon more expensive so that people drive less and over time get more efficient vehicles. The Liberals just refused to actually own that, so they are stuck with the worst of both worlds. Which is why the carbon tax is a dead man walking, if...

Maybe a "Fantasy Island" thread that has a bridge on the east end, a tunnel on the west, no airport, fourteen electric ferries zipping to different points on both sides of the harbour, a cone of silence covering Algonquin Island so they don't have to hear the tourists, and a ferris wheel to get...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Cyclists are not governed by the pedestrian signal, so they have to wait.

Yeah, but they get their pension if they survive until October 20, regardless whether they lose the next week.

Singh doesn't qualify for his MP pension until next February. Any MP who was elected in the October 21, 2019 election needs to hold on to their seat until October 20, 2025 to qualify for their pension. I suspect there will be no election before that date, and Singh is not going to resign either.

Same! And the Canada Child Benefit, which lifted hundreds of thousands of kids out of poverty. Cheap daycare was good for me personally (it came just in time!), but I'm not sure it was a well-designed program.

That was a major promise for me too, and I thought it was probably going to be our best shot in a generation at accomplishing something. I could live with it if they had seriously tried and ran up against too much opposition to make it happen but they never really bothered to try. I haven't...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

There was a campaign out there to get as many people as possible to run in the riding to protest the Liberals' refusal to seriously work for electoral reform despite their election promise in 2015. My cousin got two votes...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Most people here don't scream about anything. We have very reasoned discussion! Most of us frankly don't care that much if someone who chose to move out to Oakville takes 2 hours to drive to Toronto. Though there's obviously a simple solution to the problem, which is a toll or congestion charge...

At least the way it appears on my screen here in the office, I'd describe that colour as in the pink family before purple. But magenta is right.

A bridge from either end of the islands doesn't land the park visitors anywhere close to where they want to be, which is Centre Island. Those aren't walkable distances for families, people planning bbqs, etc. Whether or not there's an airport between you and Centre Island. At least the west end...

The boardwalk into the sand is an accessibility feature that probably won't be canceled, but you never know with this city...

That liberty village wall of buildings in the first photo really looks like Hong Kong.

Colin D'Mello has a thing for Doug Ford ever since Ford poked fun of him for living in the suburbs while challenging Ford about sprawl-enabling policies. So he's constantly looking for something negative to write about the provincial government/mismanagement, etc.

Does Josh Colle have anything on his resume that leads to being the CEO of an organization of 17,000 employees?

    Toronto Aqualuna at Bayside | 61.87m | 18s | Tridel | 3XN

There's the Sherbourne Bus and the Bay bus. Not exactly suited to servicing the type of density that is building up there.
