Being in Baltimore probably doesn't help.

I've posted Safeco Field in this thread before, but it's probably my favorite of the roofed stadiums. When open, the stadium doesn't feel quite like the bowl RC feels like. MInute Maid Park is also similar. Having the side like that really opens up the stadium. Biggest issue is, where...

Nobody is saying the Blue Jays can't draw fans. They obviously can. But they made the playoffs in 2015 and 2016, so naturally attendance would be high, particularly as it had been over 20 years since they had a playoff appearance, and that would have carried over into the 2017 season (in which...

Because what other choice do they have if they want to see a game live? Fans flock to see games in spite of the stadium, not because of it. They'll also only flock in big numbers to support a winning team. Even then, we're actually closer to the bottom of the league in terms of attendance. So...

Key being "was". And has been noted, was quickly obsolete when fans realized they prefered more intimate, classic ballparks. I get not wanting to tear down a landmark, but you seem to be saying "well, it's good enough". That's kind of faint praise.

Plus, anything will seem like a step up from having to play in Tampa or Buffalo for the past two seasons.

I know it's a pipe dream, and would never happen, but I still maintain a stadium where Billy Bishop airport is would offer a spectacular view of the skyline, and would be one of the best in baseball, especially as the skyline continues to develop. You wouldn't get this backdrop from the port lands.

Funny thing is, now would have been the perfect time to build a new stadium with the Blue Jays playing on the road for the past two years.

Shapiro had said the pandemic caused Rogers to pause on major plans such as a new stadium. Doesn't mean it's off the table, but nothing is currently in the works.

Come on, beautiful? I think the atmosphere can be great for baseball....provided the stadium is full, and the team is competitive. But on an average day, it can feel a bit dismal. With the dome closed, oppressive. A new stadium could be better. If done right, it could become one of the best...

I can't imagine going to a game, on a nice sunny day, and saying "close the roof". Like, the atmosphere is night and day when the roof is closed. Most fans want the roof open. While it's likely a new stadium would need a roof of some sorts, it wasn't too long ago that the Blue Jays and Argos...

If it is, it's because the Blue Jays no longer play in the Rogers Centre.

Someone who posts under the handle "JustSomeAudioGuy" posted this photo of the new turf on the Blue Jays reddit:

Sorry to get your hopes up. And to anyone else opening this up and thinking there's some news.

I was just thinking about this project, and that it's been nearly ten years since it was first announced. In the event it were to actually be built, realistically, how many more years would it take to finally complete this project?

Are cars really just driving through construction sites on a regular basis?

Is there a section on this site where we can speculate on the tenant without pissing people off?
