I recall hearing this too — but lately I am not at all reassured.

Perhaps I was just so relieved to see some change that -- experiencing the space in person -- I did not react negatively to the uniformity of overhead signage. I'm also starting to notice more of the detail of frames and portals in the Great Hall and VIA Concourse, and each zone seems somewhat...

My understanding is that the info booth, the overhead signs AND the clock in the centre of the Great Hall are all coming out permanently, and as of yet have not heard any reason why newer versions will not replace them. Perhaps it's for an expected increase in crowd flow ...? Also believe the...

I have been up and down on whether to trust the renderings in this respect. There is a strong historic-oriented influence on the way the Great Hall is used, sometimes to the detriment of good signage and passenger flow. [The latter is the only justifiable reason to clear out the centre of the...

Which has [always] had an accompanying clock of some sort. The booth will disappear also...? From THRA:

We've heard before that new Great Hall departure board(s) would go above the VIA ticket booths, but now it seems that the clock will also disappear from the centre of the hall. Hasn't there been some manner of timepiece there pretty well since the 'Ticket Lobby' was built?

Great, thanks. [Love those toronto.ca URLs.] Unless my memory is faulty, these are also new to me. Particularly the views of the Great Hall showing the new destination monitors above the VIA counters and the historically-accurate looking info booth plus clock in the centre of the hall. BTW: I...

We Trontonians have nothing to *reasonably* complain about ... but just as our penchant for construction delays and mismanagement is now a tradition, so is our love of kvetching about ourselves... I wonder if there's a record of how the locals expressed themselves during the long seven years...

GO regulars coming in from Front will likely proceed directly to the York (or Bay) Concourses but they will be able to use the VIA Concourse too, yes? Those catching a VIA train or picking up a passenger would still have to make their way to the Great Hall or the "Arrivals" area below if they...

Why couldn't y'all have instead pounced on my contention that both the info booth and departures board will disappear from the centre of the Great Hall in the final phase of work? (So glum I am.) I actually haven't confirmed the above--hoping someone has seen a reputable design of the finished...

There is new hoarding in two locations on the south side of the West Wing. For those who haven't grokked all the new monikers for station areas, it's the space(s) just west of the Great Hall. Previous plans show retail for this area, so what shall we expect? A return to barbering in the slot...

My understanding is fuzzy on this (and on a lotta things!;-) but wasn't there a plan to remove the existing clock, departure boards and kiosk? I know it sounds crazy, so don't freak out just yet... In my vague recollections, the board would then go above the existing VIA ticket booths, and...

I'm seeing lots of retail on the first floor-- will try to attach screen shot of Osmington schematic. I don't think Scotiabank is on the first floor -- not all of it anyway. Ironically this could be the spot for an expected TD branch, though that would be kitty-corner to Brookfield Place... As...

But we haven't done formal demand research-- potential renters probably have. My guess is they don't look promising enough.

This I prefer too, but IIRC the east exit from the Great Hall is severely restricted as they work on the area in front of the East Wing & new access to Bay Concourse ... and that's where they park the skycrane I think. During peak periods it's probably worth veering to the west exit.

Any word on what's happening at the eastern access points to/from the subway station and Brookfield Place? A lot of folks are habituated to using the Bay Concourse entrances there and now must find their way through the TTC mezzanine, or be forced south onto Bay Street... NB: There's a...
