Burano looks like it's tipping over. Cool shot.

It's unfortunate these have to go down because they're probably one of the nicest looking (... well they're unique for one thing) apartment buildings in the entire city from that era. We'll regret doing this in 20-30 years no doubt. Just like we did with the Victorians previous to these. Whatever.

So would the Ninki Sushi building be the only one demolished then? One of the previous posters claimed the project will be built on the NW corner of Y&A so that led me to believe something was going down. And Bruv, that's only the case with liquids... "air" (which is a gas) does not have the...

Sun makes little difference when the wind is brutal enough to put it past -25 anyways. I'd rather have tall buildings to block the wind as much as possible. And wtf, the mammas pizza building = demolished then?!

Heintzman Place (formerly Village By High Park, Junction, Options, 23s, Burka)

The proportions are not working for me but I like the cladding though.

Please don't be blue or green glass. For the love of god please and I'll be satisfied!!! Spare me architects of Toronto, just this once? I can already picture what it's going to look like. :( So predictable.

Amen and +1. Would have added some much needed contrast for sure. It looks overly-exposed or something at the present time. Maybe the clad will darken up as it ages? Who knows.

Concrete? It looks brick to me. Anyways.. good riddance.

Could it be the elevator shaft or something? Excellent shots by the way. The Trump looks quite nice with the sun shining off it. Really brightens up the facade.

I literally work across the street from this project.. just noticed now.

It looks as if it's made of paper mache. The entrance looks so intimidating and uninviting.

Holy shit... how does this stuff happen!?! Yet another example of the city's "banalization" efforts. The city's beginning to act really cocky when it comes to our heritage; acting as if buildings like these are a dime a dozen. But let's get real... they no longer are. Every piece of heritage is...

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

It would look incredibly ridiculous seeing a 50 story condo sitting right against "80". We need to save them both for the betterment of the street's aesthetic tbh.

The replacement will be a cheap glass and precast POS, as are 95% of the current projects on the waterfront. What a loss to the city. We'll REALLY regret this in 20 years. Just like we regret the loss of the BOM Building and the Toronto Star tower every day of our lives. If this cities' plan is...

The author probably assume we spelled it the American way... which would be completely logical to assume.

When are they revealing that brick wall!! I want to see how cohesive it is with the clad.

I feel as if it's missing a much needed element. It definitely needs a dark colour or something to contrast the very banal looking granite. From 700 feet up it looks great, though.

Is that the brick facade hiding under the tarp?

Good to hear that ugly concrete monstrosity will be put down. As for the obstructed views, I'm not too keen on.
