    Design plans

I do. Westside Gallery or more likely Triangle Arts Lofts (have several friends moving in there). I like the plan you have!

    Condo damage liability question

Has this condo not closed yet? Do you not fully own it?

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

The Toronto LTT didn't hurt sales in any way, shape or form, so why would scrapping it help RE? If anything, it would force the city to drive up property taxes (exactly what they didn't want to do, so they created the TLTT) to make up for lost revenue. Would higher property taxes also help...

    Toronto X The Condominium | ?m | 44s | Great Gulf | a—A

You might very well be right in that it's simply an aesthetic association, but I, myself, have a minimalist aesthetic and in my own spaces always try to inject some organic life into it. Minimalism on its own can be too sterile. In the above picture, it's not really the minimalism that makes...

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Here's the article (but from the Star): Housing prices due to fall, says think-tank August 31, 2010...

    Toronto X The Condominium | ?m | 44s | Great Gulf | a—A

While I like the lobby and the lighting, for a condo it looks too much like the mies downtown. It's all office and no warmth, no welcome home vibe.

    Toronto Trinity-Bellwoods Towns+Homes | ?m | 3s | Urban Capital | Richard Wengle

Based on the briefest of glances, they do look good...and you're right, it's not even within viewing distance of the park so that's bit disingenuous of them - although I suppose no more so than the "upper beaches" used to be :) At least it is in the TB area.

Condos in the core to be occupied/registered by end of 2010

Considering there is such discussion in other parts of the RE Forum about bubbles, expectations, ways the markets are heading etc., I thought it prudent to update this section. Here is the original list (with other peoples additions) that was created almost a year ago for the downtown core...

    Occupancy Fees and tax returns

The same thing as Wooba. Although the vast majority of people who rent condos don't qualify for any rent rebate as their income is too high. If renting, I always use this as a lever to negotiate a cheaper rent with my landlord if it's a room or a basement/upper floor apartment. I promise him I...

12 Degrees Condos (BSÄR Group of Companies) - Real Estate -

Actually, I saw some really great ones about 2 months ago and I like their model suite. I have the original price list as well (I snuck in and the guy doing the finishing let me look around - this was almost pre-broker). Personally, I love the look of the building and with the way John St. is...

    Interior Designer Recommendation

That's a much better picture but still looks pretty uninspired, boring and nothing anyone couldn't do on their own. There's no surprise - it looks like a Structube ad from 2003.

I don't see why not? You don't own the place yet.

London on the Esplanade Condos (Cityzen) - Real Estate -

This is exactly what happens when developers are allowed to run condo boards. I'm not politically inclined one way or another, but MPP Rosario Marchese has a third reading coming up of his Bill 79 which updates the condo act and specifically prevents the "abuse of proxy votes by development...

    Interior Designer Recommendation

Those interior designs on "distinctive spaces" are pretty atrocious.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Personally, I don't care that much about national RE numbers (I do care about national and international economic numbers) as everyone knows that RE is a very very local game. Even Regional are irrelevant and to some extent, given my own concerns only deal with Toronto and condos, so is the 905...

    When will the market recover?

When the Ritz first started selling they had 1 bed units around 600 sq feet, so not all the units are large. Prices for Ritz started at $600 000 if I recall correctly. I wouldn't at all be surprised if you could get $4500, but it's true that there will be 4 competing building with 3 of them...

775 King West Condos (Minto) - Real Estate -

Keg is already moving into the bottom of Freed's Fashion House so you're out of luck. I couldn't disagree more with ^^ though. Uniform frontages are boring, homogeneous, and lifeless and I sincerely hope Minto doesn't do what most condo developers do.
