    London Rapid Transit (In-Design)

The PIC boards are up on the project website. Based on them, the North-East line would be tunneled from Oxford to Central in order to get under the freight line there. For people not familiar with London, this major downtown route can be blocked for 10+ minutes at a time due to long freight...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

From talking to one of the planners, it seems that the two-loop proposal isn't likely going to survive and something they're introducing based on staff/political suggestions. That scenario was one of questions asked in the feedback package. A few things I found interesting were: Continuous...

Waterfront: Humber Islands in the Works?

A similar project is in its EA by the Credit Valley Conservation area. The plan is basically to build islands around the waste water treatment plan in Lakeview to provide a lakeside link around the treatment plant (it currently borders the lake), and restore some wetlands to the area. The big...

    Sherway (Greenfield South) Power Plant

Mississauga had Lakeview for 40+ years, and I believe a power plant at Pearson opened over the past few years. This plant will pump emissions into the same neighborhoods that just got their air back from Lakeview.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Actually, both Lisgar and Dixie are lost villages of Mississauga. http://www.heritagemississauga.com/page/Lisgar http://www.heritagemississauga.com/page/Dixie

    Greater Toronto's Sprawl

The question is will the residents actually accept that? Intensification sounds great on paper, but once it starts getting closer to residents then NIMBYS go through the roof and you end up with every project over 5 stories at the OMB. I think it's great that Markham has these plans, but let's...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I could upload the total amount I expect to pay for transit on my Presto card at the beginning of the month and only face one "transaction fee" from my bank, or pay automatically each time I board a vehicle and incur the fee at least twice daily (more like 4-10 times each). Also having to fumble...

    miWay Transit

GRT has been doing that since at least 2006. I'm not sure about the new MiWay ones, but the GRT ones are much better quality and actually last compared to the standard TTC/MT ones.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

As stated in the BCA, BRT alone will not be able to handle the anticipated 2021 ridership projections. The CB is not evaluated as a result, though the expected benefit and costs had been calculated.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

They've had them at some bus terminals for a while now. I think Square One got them when they did the entire reno about 5-6 years ago. I haven't heard of them being at stations before, but Exhibition doesn't have the infrastructure as the rest of the Lakeshore West line so this might just be the...

    GO Rail Fantasy Maps

No love for Waterloo? Besides that, I like it. You should get a GO Bus one up soon too :P

    Mississauga Craftsman Condominium Residences | ?m | 4s | VANDYK | CMV

Since they sold their sales centre, I'm gonna assume this one is dead. It's even worst considering the site is becoming overgrown and they already demolished the two houses that were previously on the site which weren't bad looking.

    TFC Training Facility

It'd be interesting to see if Mississauga submits something, considering the new land they got transfered over between the 9th Line and the 407. It's all meant to be recreation facilities for the most part so I'd imagine this would fit into the grand scheme. Whether or not it'd be large enough...

Mississauga Celebration Square Redevelopment (CS&P Architects) COMPLETE

In the winter the square was packed with skaters, and the Quantum 2 Cosmos Festival events packed it as well. I think most major squares have skateboarders, regardless of whether it's permitted or not, but in my experience, the Waterloo isn't trying to stop it in some spots, even going as far to...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I'm hoping for more weekend service on the Waterloo bus route. I don't think they realized how much demand there was and still is, even after the last increase.

Sheridan College (MCC, 4s, Rounthwaite Dick & Hadley Architects) COMPLETE

It'll be interesting to see how the round-about turns out in this location. They've had a bunch out here in K-W. Except for the one near Doon, none really see all that much traffic so it will be interesting to see how things work out here.

York University: Library Reno (Levitt Goodman Architects)

If the project ends up anything like the architecture library at Waterloo is will be a definite win. While it's small, it's one of the most user friendly libraries I've been into in a while. The fact it has allocated nap space (which profs take advantage of too) is a definite plus for it in my...

Triumph, The (1971 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, 15s, Makow Assoc. Architect)

It's on the higher end of the 500m walking radius to Clarkson GO (~480m I think. It's in the report). Since they opened the new pedestrian bridge over Southdown, it has become an easy walk.

Triumph, The (1971 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, 15s, Makow Assoc. Architect)

I know this area fairly well and I think if the 50s/60s Satellite Diner gets knocked down it'd be a lose for the community. Clarkson has a bunch of great retro style structures still floating around, like the Canadian Tire gas station on the north side of the GO Station. I'm not a huge fan of...

    Mississauga Absolute World | 169.77m | 56s | Cityzen | MAD architects

I would consider the Cooksville Creek, Credit River and Lake Ontario to all be defining geographic features of Mississauga. Although the lake is far, both the Cooksville Creek and the Credit River are indicators of one's entrance into the MCC realm.
