The mailing list for the Ward 2 newsletter, the one I never signed up for but somehow started receiving after writing to the Mayor, is about to get a lot smaller. Nice to see, though, that the grown-ups are finally back in charge. Furthermore, without Rob's picture at the top of it, I wonder...

In all seriousness, "Rob Ford's Toronto" remains the perfect name for this thread, since 30-odd percent of people in this city continue to see Toronto through his strange, distorted lens. The converse of "It's what Rob would have wanted" of course is "that sounds like something Rob would have...

It's a bit cumbersome, but how about "It's what Rob would have wanted." because we're sure going to be hearing that a lot over the next few years, whether or not Doug imposes himself on Scarborough. Also, because it's what Rob would have wanted.
