This is an all too familiar sight for me in Midtown. Just yesterday, I had left for work earlier than usual and five people including myself showed up at the bike dock at the same time and took all 5 remaining bikes. I understand now why sometimes there are no bikes when I leave at my usual time. 😅

The system was definitely funky. I did get a frightening email afterwards saying that one of my trips on Friday exceeded 1 hour ride time. I emailed the support team for clarification after seeing no such rides exceeding an hour on the app. The response:

More than anything, this was my largest takeaway from Friday. All important infrastructure should have network redundancies. It is absurd how vulnerable we are to a theoretical cyber-attack.

I can confirm that the cards worked on Friday. I used the bike share system thrice that day.

The weekends are basically a wash during these nice summer days. We need larger capacity stations in Midtown, and more frequent mid-day restocking of bikes.

Resubmitted. Curious that they are going with a parking ratio of 1.22 here, that is a lot of unnecessary additional parking space. They should consider car share as an alternative to the extra parking space.
