That's not indicated on the court documents.

The city is not "stopping development," it is attempting to preserve heritage. I believe that the heritage designation would supersede the original 2005 Committee of Adjustments decision.

It appears to be a little more complicated than that as the development would undermine the heritage status of one of the remaining properties.

I like the render and wouldn't say no to the spire. It would take one's attention off the mess on top of FCP.

I reached out to some people with information and I have been told that a ruling was issued today from Superior Court. Apparently there are enough issues of concern contained within the LPAT decision that it will now be sent to Superior Court. Without knowing all the details, it would appear...

I was seeking the decision regarding the city's appeal on the LPAT ruling. I thought that was being referenced here. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry, are we talking about the original LPAT decision or the decision of the court regarding the city's LPAT appeal? I was looking for the latter.

Does anyone have a link to the decision?

I know. The overall structure is quite interesting and a nice addition to the area, but that street frontage is a complete collapse in creativity.

Some of the billionaires are already contributing significantly to many other things around the city, so I'm not sure why they alone would have to be responsible for a park that would cost almost two-billion dollars (and which can't be built anyway now). The whole city is not considered...

How disappointing. So different from the original renderings. At least it's not grey.

Jasonzed - Jason Zytynsky Tribute and Photography Award

Most of us knew of him only through his postings here, but it is clear that he had a passion for both photography and for our city region. That passion, and his desire to share it with all of us, will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family and friends. Thank you Jason!

    Toronto 212 King Street West | 250m | 80s | Dream Office | SHoP

The city isn't managing the architectural look of the buildings. The DRP may have some input on that. Hopefully they will influence some rethinking in the design. Given the location of the proposal, the height is not unreasonable.

The lane running between all these proposed buildings on this block will be jam-packed one they are completed.

Well, the category it's filed under here includes "institutional." So unfortunately the look fits.

The concrete won't be affected at all by the water. Drywall nd other finishes could be damaged. The affected units will need to be dried out with large fans. The Reddit post refers to an "engineering" failure. It's more likely an installation failure of a plumbing or mechanical system.

This corner deserved so much better.

    Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (nCoV-2019)

Is there evidence to suggest that there are sustained outbreaks on construction sites? Shutting down construction would be incredibly costly. I guess we will have to see if housing construction is viewed as "essential" or not. It's curious that medical officers didn't prioritize vaccinations...

    Toronto 422 Wellington West | 14.33m | 2s | Allied | ERA Architects

Allied picked up the property next door to the west. I kinda hope they would pick up this one as well. I have more confidence in them accommodating a heritage property like this in some future development than Lamb.
