    Toronto oneeleven Condominiums | 55.47m | 17s | Harhay | Core Architects

This one turned out quite well. The same can't be said for its neighbour to the east.

    Toronto Fashion House | ?m | 12s | Freed | Core Architects

Interesting. Just by the elevators. Yeah, the lobby is... minimalist.

    Toronto 422 Wellington West | 14.33m | 2s | Allied | ERA Architects

The short answer to your question is that there is nothing to stop them.

    Toronto KING Toronto | 57.6m | 16s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

I think it was one of the esteemed leaders of UT who commented on the massing along King Street. This could be a very interesting proposal, but right now there might be a little too much of it. And too bad that the heritage component will likely be just facades.

    Toronto Musée Condos | 53.95m | 17s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

This sucker is chunky. In contrast, Evangel Hall across the street is graceful and demure.

    Toronto 629 King Residences (was Thompson Residences) | 53.34m | 15s | Freed | Saucier + Perrotte

From what I've heard, the developer still owns the rooftop. There is supposed to be a large restaurant or lounge venue up there. It'll be interesting to see how that works out for the residents.

    Toronto Fashion House | ?m | 12s | Freed | Core Architects

Didn't the builder apply for LEED certification at some level? Does anyone know if it was granted? Also, the hallways on each floor were supposed to receive a designer finish of some kind. Did that ever happen?

Toronto The Bentway (was Under Gardiner) | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I'd prefer to see it left as Under the Gardiner, but if there must be a new name, how about "Gardiner Underarm"? No worse than any reference Rob Ford in my opinion.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Selling 2,000+ units will also take a considerable amount of time.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

I read it as sarcasm. My response was in the same spirit.

So the increasing prices of condominiums makes them more affordable? Must be the "new" economics.

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

Some years back the complaints were about green.

    Toronto King + Condos | 53.03m | 17s | King Plus | TACT Architecture

It could be a nail salon and a cafe. There's one like that on King West.

    Toronto Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

The tower is set back off the podium. If the tower of Ten York Street is 20 - 25 metres from Water Club, then it meets city guidelines for distancing.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Understood. My comment was that shadowing alone appeared rather extreme. So yes, there are likely other factors.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Presumably the shadow from a point tower doesn't last forever, so the focus on partial and brief shadowing on the park seems to be a rather extreme rationale for cutting the height.

    Queen Street West

Just found out that Queen Video location on Queen Street is closing its doors for good this weekend. The place has been around since 1981 and featured a huge and eclectic selection of films - including a lot of stuff that's hard to find online. The last Queen Video location on Bloor remains - at...

    Toronto Harlowe Condos | 49.98m | 14s | Lamb Dev Corp | Core Architects

Good to see the abandoned structures go. Vandalism was on the increase and a few people around here were concerned about arson.

    Toronto 485 Wellington Street West | 51m | 14s | Lifetime | Wallman Architects

This thing is going to hulk over Draper Street. The neighbouring developers of the Well appear to taken a sensitive approach when considering the last patch of historic worker cottages, but this proposal seems to one where the maximum everything is going to be shoved onto the lot.
