    TTC: Streetcar Network

40 + UPX would not be any faster than 109 + subway. Would you be able to pay the 80¢ Miway co-fare plus the $1.50 TTC co-fare or would you have to pay full for TTC? Although it is 3 transfers, at least 109 comes very frequently. Who could benefit from that? That would duplicate 109 and not be...

    CNE Air Show

You bring up a good point. However, in fairness to the previous poster, do fighter jets really sound that different from a boeing 737? As well, the writer of the star article sounds very hippy and naive in addition to being anti-military. At the end of the day, I believe that people go to air...

    London Rapid Transit (In-Design)

BRT is definitely the way to go. Yes, yes, yes, nothing is perfect. But building this in the future will require less land acquisitions? If anything, the impact will be bigger the later this is built. The need for rapid transit may not seem so pressing right now, but the point is that we are...

:eek:They didn't render solar panels on the top of the bus terminal? I thought this government is committed to preserving our environment! ;)

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I absolutely agree with fair nominations. However, maybe they should at least provide the public with some reason as to why they are reopening an already done nomination? It does not look good for the PCs to just rip it up seemly randomly. Agreed, and by her being regressive I meant that she is...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Thanks for the update but wow, this is really terrible. I though that a regressive and socially conservative person like her would pick some other more rural place. Doesn't she live somewhere out in the sticks? Her and her backwards attitude have no place in a wonderful city like Mississauga...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

At the same time, would it really be a problem when that third line(HuLRT) is in an entirely different city?

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Because somebody over at city hall or Metrolinx made a stupid and unwise decision.

Nothing is impossible. I am not an expert on municipal politics and lobbying, but if @drum118 can't do it then it's not going to be easy. Perhaps write to the mayor and your city councillor?

I assume you mean the Square One section. From the 2014 EA page 4-3

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

What is your definition of broken? I call a street where the sidewalk is overcrowded, cars move barely faster than walking speed, and streetcars move slower than pedestrians broken.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

The only reason that you feel like the street is empty because all the cars are gone. As some other people have posted, cars don't shop, people do. In a environment like King Street in downtown Toronto, you either walk to visit different businesses or you don't visit them, it's impractical to...

    London Rapid Transit (In-Design)

^Good for London. Maybe they can afford that grade separated crossing now.

@drum118 this is what I was referring to. From the 2014 EA(section 4-4). edit:

Just make sure it doesn't end up being a failure like York Region Transit.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

By terminating at SQ1 I mean departing from Port Credit and terminating at SQ1. I do. But I swear I saw 10 as part of the post-LRT Huronatario plan somewhere. I don't disagree. It won't come every 5 minutes, but it will be frequent enough for people who can't walk the extra 500m.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If that is the case, why did they not go ahead with this stop? Thank you for posting that. IIRC #10 will continue to service Hurontario St between SQ1 and Bristol Dr while #19 will terminate at SQ1.

    VIA Rail

Unfortunately there is nothing VIA can do anywhere without additional funding. They are running out of cost saving measures to implement.
