You are wrong. Toronto has a larger population than Berlin in a smaller area, and therefore is denser than Berlin.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, but you're right that tram lines in some European cities run fast, as fast as the posted speed limit through intersections. Berlin comes to mind. Those trams really fly, even around curves.

On that page they refer to the Green Line (pictured) as light rail. In contrast, they refer to the red, orange and blue lines as heavy rail.

San Francisco refers to the system as Muni Metro(politan) Light Rail. They count some of their stops as subway stations, but on this official page they don't mischaracterize the whole system as subway...

Who said anything about hydrogen? The Nippon Sharyo trains used by the UPX could only be configured with DMU or EMU traction power. And the poster with whom you were debating was referring to battery powered trains with charging stations.

Ever ridden the UPX farm tractor? It's pretty jerky when the train shifts gears.
