The whole area is in need of a overhaul. Ultimately I'd like to see the QEW with 10 lanes (8 lanes +2HOVs) from 403/407 all the way to the 427. The government already cheapened out on the cosigned 403 section when they put in the HOVs there as it was originally intended to be this width but...

I use an Olympus Pen camera. Video is rather limited (2GB max file size which roughly equals 7 mins or real recording time) but the quality is good 720p video.

Well with prop 6 in Michigan defeated last night the new Can-US bridge can go ahead without a hitch. The Windsor-Essex Parkway (401 extension) is about half done construction now as well.

Ambitious plan for Highway 403:

Pic 11 clearly shows where the contract ends. Additional contracts (I think 2 more phases) will extend the collector-express system to Winston Churchill. Longer term plans could see a HOV/collector system past the 407 toward Milton, but there isn't much detail beyond initial studies.

Finally managed to get out there today and check out the project. "Massive" is an understatement... The area looks completely unlike anything that was there before the construction began. Took a bunch of photos too, you can view here if interested...
