    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Honestly, anybody want to take odds on the Ontario Line getting named for Rob?

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I do have to wonder what the outcome would be if Brampton were told they need to commit 1/3 and will be given funding for either underground to the station or a surface route to Mayfield.

Bruce Power: New Nuclear Generation Capacity

I’d support a nuclear power thread.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I'd also add that even with the multiple branches it's gained the network structure in Scarborough, especially in terms of things branching off Kingston Road is fairly sprawling. Something based on bus enhancement can easily provide significant benefit to all areas and riders... Eglinton East is...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Ugh; as much as I like the aesthetics of the Eglinton East project I am starting to come around on further showcasing improved bus service in the area... 4 billion isn't terrible when you consider that the Cambridge Ion extension is going to be a similar cost, but that speed issue is...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I agree that Don Mills really isn't reasonable without an incredibly awkward junction probably necessitating the reconstruction of the eastern portal... Leslie though has a lot of room around on the surface a decent incentive to reconfigure everything to maintain functional separation (or at...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

To be clear though... very little of any significant size happens in Toronto without needing some kind of site specific zoning. I really don't see any likely Council turning down even vaguely sane requests from Sunnybrook.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

On the one hand, yeah, it's pretty out there to posit that a major hospital isn't a big enough trip generator to get a station... On the other this is Toronto. Our performance metrics really AREN'T comparable in most terms to other North American rapid transit networks, and by our standards...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

TBH I have my doubts; Mississauga getting Milton line electrification and diversion (to MCC) is so much more attractive than any of the subway options... while all the eastern Sheppard extensions beg for a connection to LSE that really only works at Rouge Hill or Pickering and would be so much...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

My alternative would be to divert south, include a station but stick it deep inside the Sunnybrook campus.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

No, Metrolinx is definitely paying 407 bills, and I've never seen any indication of some sort of discount arrangement.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I really have to agree that an Erindale GO extension is merited, but would go a step further and suggest that the service pattern issues with a loop are such that my preferred option would be to cut the Burnhamthorpe leg. Timing for good cross platform transfers at MCC should be mostly doable...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Honestly, if VIA is going to be playing with their locations on LSW moving to Burlington from Aldershot would do a lot more.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

Even with fare integration it strikes me that adding a route 360 stop at the 407 GO terminal and running a full service on it might actually be worthwhile.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

I’m genuinely of the opinion that the most reasonable Viva Hwy 7 structure at this point would be to run Purple to VMC and wholly eliminate orange, with Zum providing all rapid service west of Vaughan (maybe run all the way to Yonge via Centre st honestly). The fare integration we’ve got...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Honestly, if we'd known what SmartTrack would become Islington's inclusion would have been a no brainer, but I really do have to think at this point that it's going to be a discussion for a post electrification world.

Lack of meaningful Passenger Rail service outside the Quebec-Windsor Corridor

Wholly off topic, but I don’t buy it. The alleged necessity of anything like strict border controls between Canada and the US has never felt compelling to me, or even particularly persuasive as anything but an opportunity to flex its sovereignty.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I can even see a level of commonality with the OL making sense, but yeah, actually building to the same specifications, let alone through running, really doesn't make much sense to me.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

I was going to say something snarky about this being the mid peninsula highway in everything but name, but when I sketch it out I really don't hate it as much as I thought... although I am tempted to suggest feeding it into Highbury rather than the 402 proper to create a better London - St...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I'd go with "no, there's clearly neither the absolute demand nor the distance to justify three patterns for Barrie". It would also be the only third tier service to be fully electrified in this concept. I'm doubtful of the value proposition of through running airport trains. A full through run...
