    Transit Fantasy Maps

the route via Dundas and Hurontario via dixie GO would be the best for ridership and are pretty close to the defacto plans if the subway gets extended and the line terminates at city centre terminal instead of Burnhamthorpe and Hurontario.

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

I'm gay so that the likelihood of that is going to be significantly lower for me?

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

it's a Toronto problem, Mississauga, Ottawa and K/W uses them without a problem. In Mississauga, they work too well with car drivers honking at buses going when they get the vertical bar and they don't even notice that it's there.

    miWay Transit

it's nice and everything but I think miway's priorities has gotten worse, like how about making the stops more accessible all year round and better service???

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

there's parking bike lanes in front of my school, when I used to bike to school people always parked in them and cops would drive by without a care of the ticking jackpot just sitting on the side of the road

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

it's going to be 2 lanes for cars, 2 lanes for the LRT and a multi use trail south of QEW. And as for the city centre, metrolinx decided that doing an elevated portion was better than the loop to somehow save money when the city was planning to build a loop with only an elevated section to...

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

Why, why would they put parking there of all places??

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

I wished we used raised crossings and intersections, but most importantly; is that the enginers actually care about sightlines and making sure road users always interact at a 90 degree angle so drivers can have less of a chance of running people down because they can actually see them in their...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

my only concern is that it probably doesn't work very well at intersections where they're needed most but it's definitely better than nothing

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

it's a lot a lot cheaper than mining the stations from the inside out.

    miWay Transit

Miway does that too on top of the dedicated school routes

Toronto Urban Sprawl Compared to Other Cities

in defence of poor ol' Detroit is that MiWay serves a bigger population and it's not (under)funded by a bankrupt municipality

    Planned Sprawl in the GTA

yeah, Brampton is weird to say the least when it comes to planning, they say they want to develop transit and become urban with outlandish plans like Brampton 2041, but also continue to build the same suburbia they are trying not to be and like you said, they killed off the LRT because it took...

    miWay Transit

They also cancelled some of the busiest school routes which is, confusing, to say the least...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

both of those lanes don't look inviting, at all. not only should they be raised cycle tracks but with roads that wide there should be a buffer zone. "GRRR!" The Automobile god growled.

    Mississauga Erin Square Condos | ?m | 21s | Pemberton

also Eglinton and Erin mills intersection needs to be redesigned yesterday, it's so so bad

    Mississauga Erin Square Condos | ?m | 21s | Pemberton

    i was going to say that :( :( :mad::mad:

    Mississauga Erin Square Condos | ?m | 21s | Pemberton

That is true but it's not very difficult, lowering the speed limit, narrowing lane widths and adding plants close to the road would help to clam traffic or we could make a boulevard. I do think it's possible to have infill in front of the really really ugly Pemberton buildings by the Loblaws...
