    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

So what does that leave at the Coach Terminal still Operating? Just Ontario Northland? If train service starts it’ll be a non brainer to run the bus out of Union.

The maple leaf at the back should be done. Certainly doesn’t work with the rest of the design. But at least it’s smaller now.

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

The point of changing the OP and Zoning si to make it easier for developers to build something nearby. They don’t have to apply for a zone change; just build. Just because it’s changed doesn’t mean that new dense buildings will be going up right away. That could be 20~ years down the line. It...

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

I’m from one of them so yes. I have been to one of these towns. The point is to get the zoning and OP changed so far into the future a commuter service can develop. Brace ridge is centrally locates. Whereas Gravenhurst and North Bay could use higher density around it. If you can’t bring the...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

When the reconstruction for the Guelph bridges was announced, I contacted Metrolinx to enquire about installing a 2nd track over the Speed River Bridge. This was their response: Needless to say I’m disappointed they aren’t taking advantage of the situation to install a 2nd south track to the...

https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/greyhound-canada-1.6025276 Oh no! Anyways... greyhound deserved to go under. They made no effort to adopt to electronic ticket and take advantage of the internet. All they had was a monopoly on intercity. Clear example of failing to adopt. After taking BlaBla...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Opps. that's what I get for scanning the report and not reading too deeply. Pinebush is a good choice. I imagine the future station would bear a striking similarty to the Helensvale Station in Gold Coast, Queensland.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This is great news. But wherever the station in Cambridge is it needs to be right next to any future LRT station.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Having a 4th track through Brampton needs to be a self starter. If they're going to demolish those buildings to the south of the current station they might as well build supports for a 4th track. In the rendering's I only saw a 3rd track proposed.

With the pandemic and more people staying home and doing work on their home. Demand for lumber has skyrocketed. So Hearst’s lumber industry is booming. Probably their best year since before the 2008 recession.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Yes it should. Very click baity of the CBC journalist. I think it would be operated similarly to Lakeshore West branching in Hamilton. Some rush hour trains go to Cambridge.

More details on GO train service between Cambridge and Guelph coming this spring Great to read that progress is being made. Where ever the station goes in Cambridge it needs to be right beside a future LRT station.
