How are you so sure the province didn't know about this beforehand? I find that hard to believe... Although there were eclipse messages posted on the 401 electronic message boards that they also quickly reversed (about working from home) claiming they were not approved... I'm seeing a pattern...

Are these decisions made with any data? I'm just suprised I haven't seen anything than: we want to make trains faster, and we're reversing because the public doesn't like it. So far I've seen that (hardly) faster is about a couple of minutes as trains still need to slow when passing...

I've never used (as I'm never in an appropriate zone/time), but on demand ridership was down; some is attributed to technical challenges (not accounting for customers boarding time for example). They increased the dwell time which helped w/reliability, but reduces capacity of course...new hours...
