London on the Esplanade Condos (Cityzen) - Real Estate -

I guess I'm showing my age there, LOL. We flipped our thermostats from celcius to farenheit. Its easy to do with a little bit of fiddling of the programming. As for heating the place we tried an experiment. (3 heat pumps in our unit) We put all 3 up to 80 and left them like that for 24 hours...

Crank it up to 90 if you want. Your pump will run 24/7 and all you are going to get is 72 MAX, possibly 73 if the sun is shining in.. I checked with my neighbours. It seems we are all suffering together. If you like it warmer than 72, then it's looks like its going to be a long winter. I'm...

Next to Garbage Chute - thoughts?

Thats great until you get one or two who just end up leaving their garbage on the floor beside the chute. On my floor we have a pair of bimbos who do this whether the chute is working or not. Not sure if they are ignorant or just really stupid. I'm guessing the tri-sorter is just too difficult...

It's gonna hurt to see the inevitable destruction of those trees along Church Street. That little section certainly has such a nice ambiance on my summer evening strolls. The huge crater, boarding, and construction that follows will be miserable too. The end result hopefully will be worth it...

Holy crap, you are right. LOL! My bad. (Did I say that right?) I can't believe how this one slipped under my radar. Thanks again.

WOW! Thanks Marcus. I see the last post on this one was way back in July/07. This one really has been a sleeper.

Something big is brewing (pun intended) over at Front and Church. Papilon next door moved out some time ago and I believe all the offices above on the corner are now vacant. That just leaves the book store and possibly a couple shops beside it. I'm guessing if and when they go it will happen...

    Next up and coming neighbourhood

I totally agree. This area is a 'sleeper' just waiting for one really major heavily marketed project. When it happens, it will be a flashpoint for huge changes.

I believe the Keg move is planned for sometime in February from what I heard from one of their waiters. From the progress that I have observed at the new location, he may be right. Now the corner unit at Scott and Esplanade looks like it is also being prepared for a tenant. This one has me...

    Future of Toronto condo prices

Good idea Ania. Lets see..here goes Some reasons not to buy Downtown real estate. 1. The 1929 Depression actually had a 'Bear Trap' where after the initial collapse, the market roared back quickly..for a short time. A lot of people who lost money in the crash jumped back in only to lose...

    Future of Toronto condo prices

Where is downtown pricing going in the future? This is the same question that has always being asked, twenty years ago, six months ago, today, and a year from now. A tough question that has always had a simple answer. It's a actually a two part question. A. Where will pricing be a year...

My lawyer did a great job on this from beginning to end, so there were no surprises.:) I was surprised though, when he wasn't sure how I would go after the GST rebate. He suggested my accountant would know. They kind of hemmed and hawed a little on this one too. Something about needing to get a...

How about that. So it isn't just me. I have one unit that works great, the other acts just like Masin's.

I don't see this cladding replaced. It's gone..period. This is the corner where the actual Ltower building will go. I expect you will see in the next few weeks, a complete demolition of this corner of the Sony. My guess is that the limestone tiles are being removed carefully so that can be...

    Birch Cliff (Kingston/Warden)

Some great old memories come back seeing the picture of Andrews. Believe it or not, but back in the sixties, this was once quite the classy place to go for dinner. There was quite a rivalry between this place and the Bo-Peep a little further east. And then there was the little Stop 14 diner a...

Cosmopolitan Toronto Hotel made the Condé Nast Hot List

Not a hell of a lot actually. A very garish sign on dreary looking building that holds promise for being a distant future flophouse/hotel just off of Yonge on a dark bleak portion of Colburn that otherwise is a pretty neat little street.
