    Family Sized Condos

Not the people I know and associate with. After renting a townhouse in the burbs for a couple of years while waiting for our downtown condo to be completed, I can tell you for us, it was awful. Our townhouse development was mostly populated by seniors, and it was quiet and peaceful alright...

You got to give this agent credit. I have read his blog a number of times. He always appears to be straight forward and honest with his views. He also does a good job maintaining his blog. That takes effort. When he says the King Eddy is almost sold out, I would not doubt him. A rarity indeed...

Nice moody pic. You can almost imagine Marlon Brando yelling "STELLA!"

A tad dissapointed at these suites. I really expected to see something a little more..more. I spent one incredibly glorious week at the St. Regis in Manhattan last summer (raffle win), yet i have often found myself thinking of the King Eddy when I think of the wonderful experience I had that...

The floorplans in this building show lots of concrete pillars, even angled ones where the structure curves at the top. Certainly not indicitave of steel construction.

Nice angle on that photo, Urban. With the abscence of undergound parking, I imagine they won't be going that deep. Actually, from the size of that footprint with the digging going on now, I'm surprised they didn't consider doing underground parking. I'm guessing they probably would have had...

Great idea Ganjavih, grabbing the photo from Google street level. We should do that more often. As for the PizzaPizza building.. That thing is so unbelievably ugly, it really boggles the mind that it was ever allowed to be built. The PizzaPizza folks should be ashamed of themselves, for...

    Condo Balcony - Decking

These things are harder than softwood but softer than hardwood, if that makes any sense. We used a keyhole saw. Tried to use a jigsaw but found the speed of the blade was melting the material and jamming up. The hand saw and CAREFUL measuring did the trick. (Its expensive to make a booboo with...

They are square, and yes I could have alternated the the pattern. I see a neighbour down below who just did theirs that way. I preferred it this way. They claim to have a 25yr guarantee, so in time I may choose to play around with them but for now..

    Condo Balcony - Decking

Finished my project thanks to Roy G Biv's tip. Got these from Cosco. Quite pleased with the quality and how nicely they cut around tricky areas. Not cheap though. I see Cdn Tire now has these too. $30.00 for a pkg of 4.

A lot of mechanical thingys with pipes and junk like that, going into the newly framed floors on the east side of the Sony's rear podium. Boring stuff really, unless you are really into heavy duty industrial air conditioning. I suspect this stuff is for the Sony structure and probably has very...

Daily Poll 15 for May 19, 2010: Pug Awards London on the Esplanade

LOVE IT!! Ooh! Am I the tie breaker? Was anybody surprised how I felt? Ok, so I'm a little prejudiced because I live here, but I can tell you I have never had a moments regret about buying here. ..and the view I got... Like something out of the movies. ;)

Oh well. Perhaps youor your guests could take turns standing on a box to take a look at the top tip of the CN Tower through the one and a half foot space between the privacy partition and the upper balcony. You may have to excuse yourself to your neighbour once in a while though. Good luck...

Carturo I wonder if you and I are talking about the same. The unit I'm referring to was your model but it had not only a glass privacy partition glass to the left side but another one directly in front!! That was because another balcony abutted right up to it directly in front. I'm not talking...
