The ontario line trains are to be 3 meters wide. The TR trains are 3.2 meters wide. How is 20 cm "significantly narrower"? And yes the metrolinx tender sets 3 meter width as the required standard. With option for 80 meter to 100 meter length at full build out.

    Liberty Village pedestrian link

Like if not for the concrete it would look very nice. They should have used something like this instead. Harder to tag, better view from the street for safety, and looks so much better. Probably would cost less too.

great diagrams, however in the Scarborough junction flyover, they had lakeshore and Stouffville trains stopping at Scarborough, as it an important transfer node for people that want to head south then east to Pickering instead of union. Do you think Metrolinx would have Stouffville bypass...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

the underground crosstown alignment TBM and elevated over humber river was one of the methods studied by the city, once elevated was ruled out. the city opted for at grade because "it was easier to access" but in reality was probably due to cost. The city website is gone now but if i can find...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

ya metrolinx is being super inconsistent with the above and below grade justifications. Like the SSE lawrence station depth of 40 meters just ridiculous, should been an elevated bridge over highland creek. but this was the cities plan: single bore, TBM under the river. so because the needed to...
