    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

There is no maximum stop spacing. Stop spacing should be determined by the built form above it, not purely base on distance.

The Hurontario LRT will be using Alstom Citadis Spirit, which is 48 m long.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Reading the report (p.50), trains in opposite directions meet at Georgetown GO, not west of Georgetown GO. Therefore, the departure time in both directions at Georgetown GO should be the same. There are benefits in meeting at Georgetown GO as the train can choose to crossover the CN tracks...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The Report gives absolutely no mention of how the service pattern will affect the local services between Woodbine GO and Union station, and UP Express.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Theoretically, if you timed the schedule of trains correctly, the Lakeshore East express and VIA can overtake the local train between Scarborough and Rouge Hill, which have space for 4 tracks. Running express trains does not require the entire corridor to have 4 tracks.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

One of the ways for Express trains to overtake in between Union and Unionville is to quad track using the SRT right-of-way soon to be demolished between Eglinton and Ellesmere. It also means GO can add two more stations in the current Lawrence East and Ellesmere SRT station.

Toronto Regional Board of Trade Regional Rail Report

6 tph is what TBOT proposed for the Stouffville corridor during off-peak. I am correct that Metrolinx's proposal has 2 more tph, at 8tbh.

Toronto Regional Board of Trade Regional Rail Report

Sadly the frequency on the Stouffville is less than what Metrolinx proposed in the GO Expansion Business Case (6 train vs 8 train per hour) in the off-peak.

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

If you look at the Appendix G -Noise and Vibration Modelling Reports in here, you will find the ultimate capacity schedule. A large portion of non-revenue trains in the barrier line are to and from Bradford GO and Bradford layover, and between Union station and Bathurst layover.

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

Well, that tunnel entrance is probably not on Highway 7 nor Yonge, but on the connector between them. (p.105 of the Yonge Subway Extension Conceptual Design Report)

    SmartTrack (Proposed)

Seems weird to me but does the Kitchener Line really need a platform for every single track? Aren't they going to have express trains that don't stop until Bramalea GO station?

    Toronto Kipling Station Transit Hub | ?m | 2s | Metrolinx | SAI

The fact that the subway needs to line up to enter the terminal station, which can start as early as five stations before the terminal shows TTC is using a schedule-based operation. The last time (September 2020) I wasted 10 mins (in addition to regular travel time) on the subway lining up...

Bramalea Road EA (City of Brampton)

Slide 22 The fourth point on slide 22 is basically saying 6 lanes south of Dearbourne Blvd and it will be transit-only not HOV. Yet widening to 6 lanes (Alternative 7 in slide 21) is not recommended

    YRT/Viva Construction Thread (Rapidways, Terminals)

YRT has a tradition of not following their plans.

    SmartTrack (Proposed)

Strategically putting 3rd and 4th tracks at where the train actually overtakes another are better than merely quad tracking the whole line. For the express train to overtake the local train, the local train just needs to travel slower from Ellesmere to Kennedy, which means it might actually...

Metrolinx: Sheppard East LRT (In Design)

If people don't mind taken away 2 lanes (6 to 4) just west of Victoria Park then a centre median portal should be doable.

Metrolinx: Sheppard East LRT (In Design)

Is there anything that actually prevents the existing subway technology to run above-ground along Sheppard Avenue from Victoria Park to McCowan? It may need a longer distance to transition from below-to -above but other than that I couldn't think of anything else that would prevent running TRs...
