I think the water treatment facility is fine. It's needed and the canal-type feature is quite fun, but the spaces for people to engage are designed poorly. I think the proof is in the fact that the space is really underutilized; I walk past many times per week and rarely see anyone using the...

This is obviously a subjective opinion - but that park is terrible. Who wants to bring a child to play beside a major highway?!? Why it wasn't just made into a dog park on the northern end and grassy space on the southern end is beyond me. Cheaper, simple, effective.

Is this actually the case or are you just fearmongering? Although there aren't detailed plans laid out at the moment, we are still in the early days of this project. Can you really expect all aspects of this line to be presented so soon? Why would a corporation publish designs that are not...

I couldn't find a sub-forum for this, but does anyone have any info on the status of this project? It looks amazing. Lake Ontario Park

They're hanging small plexiglass sheets to the wires today; it looks like it may be a kinetic installation. Seems like a nice touch.

Have they published any final designs of the bridges?

Part of the success of the St Lawrence Neighbourhood is the mid-block connections for pedestrians. This courtyard, while nice for residents, will have a limited effect on the movement of people as it hits a wall when it comes to the new E-W street. I feel this is a missed opportunity for...

    St Lawrence Market

I really want to like this pavilion more, but its proportions just don't seem right.

I'm interested to see what material they use for the roof of The Yard and also how the roof structure will finalize. I'm hoping they use something slightly transparent - it would be nice to allow light to penetrate through.

I thought this map was super cool, a bit out of date, but I still thought I'd share. As posted in the Crosstown forum: Toronto Public Transit Map

Drilling work taking place on Berkeley between King and Front today. It’s exciting to see movement happening on this project!

    St Lawrence Market

Not that it's great to hear about a business going bankrupt, but there is an over-saturation of home design shops along that stretch of King East. I'm now hoping that a bar/restaurant opens up in its place. I always thought their front entrance area would make for an awesome patio!

Does anyone know if there was any outcome from the St Lawrence Market hours of operation public consultation in early Oct?

Looks like a Nespresso store is going in at the southern entrance on Parliament St. I thought the Distillery didn’t lease to big brand stores?

Toronto East Bayfront: Aitken Place Park | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Took my dog to the park yesterday and there’s no water station in the dog enclosure. Seems like a poor choice not to include this in their design. Also, there’s no shelter structure at top of hill/pathway, nor is there a stairwell from top area to the west side near playground, as their designs...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

They build subway lines all the time in cities like Hong Kong and Shanghai. These places are so densely packed with highrises, yet they still manage to get built. I don't see how tunnelling under condos on the western side of the OL is overly problematic.

I also live right beside this monstrosity and walk past at least twice a day. I hate the design, I think it's an awful building for the area, but can't say I've ever noticed a smell.

Looking at the document that Raptor sent, the Corktown Station would sit at the intersection of King and Parliament/Berkeley. This is approximately 400 meters away from the Distillery area. I would think that having the Corktown station align with the King Streetcar for quick transfers would...
