    Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

I simply look at Airbnb like this, it should not be allowed in any situation where a group of people owns shares in a common investment. Buying into a condo, townhouse, or any other property with common elements is about buying into a shared investment. No minority party to that investment...

    Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

Unfortunately it was explicitly written in the initial declaration which was provided by the developer (Lanterra) that short term rentals are to be permitted. Many owners purchased units in this development with the sole intent of renting these units on the short term market. I learned there are...

And here we jump forward to May 2016. This one is for the engineers amongst us. The column cutting has begun. The new main N/S corridor on the lower level under VIA, looking north from the Union Square stairs towards Front Street. Right now there are temporary ramps which run up to VIA from...

And here is some nostalgia. The old Bay Concourse, mid-demolition in December 2015. From near the old GO ticket office, centre of image is looking west. From near the old Tim's kiosk, centre of image is looking south. From near the old doors to moat & TTC entrance, centre of image is...

To quote your post signature "It's only illegal if you get caught." Well... I did get caught. Backstory here is that I never had permission to enter those areas of Union and take photographs. It turns out that somebody who is (or was.. *cough, cough* Carillion) employed on this project also...

I just noticed today that the eastern half of the "temporary ramps" in the entrance structure at the south Telus/MLS doors (think of the narrow concrete floored ramps with white walls that go up to VIA) is being demolished. It looks like the powers that be might be getting ready to shift...

@TOareaFan The Eaton Centre has a stage that runs along a track. You can see it in this picture, the ends of it fold in so it can fit past the elevators, stairwells, etc.

If you look closely in the "gutter" channels on either side of the glass you can see structural steel mounting plates (flat steel squares with 4 bolt holes). I wonder if they will be installing rails on either side of the canopy to support a rolling stage. From what I remember from the last time...

    Toronto Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

Hey @drum118 did you happen to notice where they were bringing in the backfill for the ramp from? I didn't see any stockpiles of soil onsite when I was down there.

These two do a great job of showing the future escalator bay up to GO Bay. I still wager the majority of commuters are going to have no idea what hit them once this half opens up. Despite the ongoing work for the past decade I think something like close to 60% of the new spaces remain off...

Thank you @union2pearson! Those pictures are the first time I have seen inside the Bay Street excavation since October 2015. Very impressive. Also Bondfield is moving at a nice clip compared to Carillion. It looks like all of the column work all the way through to Bay South.

@drum118 Sorry I lost you on the last bit, can you expand on that any?

It's the vertical access points that they are having to work around right now. There was and still are very few stairs available between the TTC and the B1 Concourse level. By moving hoarding back into the B2 Promenade I believe they are working towards shifting the main vertical access into the...

I think he's saying you can now cross the moat "straight on" when you leave the TTC and enter the new level under GO Bay. My assumption is they have built the stairs (or temp stairs in their place) that lead back to the level under the Great Hall (entering at the hoarding near old LCBO). I would...

    Toronto Lower Simcoe Ramp | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

@drum118 Are you sure about it being only two straight-through at York/Harbour? The earlier drawings showed the southmost lane being optional right-turn or straight-through. Then again these renderings also showed a jog around the column at Simcoe so anything is possible. Do you have a link to...

@DSC Did you manage to grab any pictures? I am interested in the details of how they are doing this. I predicted something similar about exactly one year ago now ;)

I am not sure exactly what you are getting at here but I wanted to add this... "Because f*** cyclists." But seriously. Can you imagine it being a good idea to promote cycling on roads with an average speed limit of 80 KM/h or more? This is just asking for fatalities. And no don't tell me that...

New access to the ACC will be via the PATH level (B2). If you look at the plans it is somewhat confusing because they drew the different floor plates on the same plan view... but... if you follow me here: there will be a corridor on the lowest level (the new basement level) that will lead...

That ACC ramp or "blue route ramp" was taken out sometime early 2016. @AlvinofDiaspar, when I look closer I think these stairs are leading from Bay Promenade up to Bay Teamway. Not much to go on from the picture but if I had to guess I would say the picture was taken from Front St looking south...
