Glass panels going up for the carousel structure, so it's coming along nicely. ETA for winter except for landscaping shouldn't be out of the picture. Anyone know what's in the small building just behind it?

No pictures, but it looks like they've started installation of the carousel behind the sales centre. The theatre and retail area is coming together. Much of the interior elements are done and it looks like a nice place to be from what I can see driving by.

Took the Go this morning and noticed that they've finally put a pedestrian walkway along Entreprise almost to Rivis. Ends right at the track overpass. Looks temporary though - asphalt instead of concrete.

Between this project and the Aviva building, the construction noise starting at 6am, 7 days a week is fantastic. :mad:

Maybe (a big maybe at that) when the York U campus is established will we see more usage of the alternate transportation available. Timing, cost (double fare), frequency is a concern. They're trying to shoehorn the idea into an area where it was, and somewhat still is, quite industrial in...

They're probably aligning the project schedule to the Pan Am games. They would miss a huge opportunity if they don't.

Yep. And as much as I want to be "green", I think even the bike lane is a bit of a waste. I just don't think it will get the usage to be worthwhile. I miss the days when hwy7 had 70km/hr limit.

I remember eons ago when the fountain at Markham and Steeles first opened up. People would put soap/detergent and the fountain would foam up. I wonder if that still happens. My brain dump about public fountains. EDIT: Another drive-in food truck event on September 27. :)

They've been working feverishly lately on the walking path along Enterprise as well. Looks like that will open up fairly soon.

Ground floor of Nexus North/South is retail space correct? I wonder how they will handle car and traffic for those units. There's very few onsite parking for the two building without going underground. I didn't realize they were that far along with the parkette. I need to walk around the area...

Lots of activity there. They've been working on the site everyday, even Saturday/Sunday. Is there any news on the pedestrian walkway along the bus path? No work have been done since before winter.
