I was on one of the downtown express buses (extra fare) for the first time today and noticed people getting on downtown (like Bloor). Is there some sort of deal where you pay regular fare once the bus gets downtown? Seems bizarre someone would pay 6 bucks for such a short trip.

Was on one of those TTC Premium Express routes for the first time today. Apparently some people keep 2 Presto cards to pay the double fare!

Why can't it just say "1 - Vaughan" ? I'm not sure why we're so concerned with destination signs for our subways. As long as the platforms are marked, there's no way you can get on the wrong train in this city as none of our lines have branches. On a train that short turned? Just get off and...

Yes I have. Now I go to Green Valley which is at Yonge and Erskine. And there is another one on Erskine just around the corner. They are the exceptions. I dread the day their rent jumps up or the place gets turned into a condo.

Unfortunately I think it is just too expensive a neighbourhood to have a lower end grocery store. I have honestly considered schlepping it on the bus to get to No Frills in Scarborough. I used to go to Valu-Mart at Davisville & Bayview, but it can be too far if you don't have a car.

Today there was a police officer placed at the intersection of Holly and Eglinton to stop people from jay walking across Eglinton. I encountered the police officer confronting someone who must have just jay walked and the officer was asking to see his ID. Serious business.

What they need is a traffic signal specific for left turns and through traffic. It stays red.

According to the postcards they were handing out, people can still use tokens, tickets, and metropass. However these can not be purchased at the TYSSE stations. My guess is there will be a crash gate until new limited-use Presto media is available.

True, but in the majority of cases you don't have to squeeze through the double quad part to get to an exit.
