    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I mean...he's taken a downgrade before by going from the MBTA to YRT.

I experienced both the Maple Leaf customs process and self-connecting from the last Empire train to a FlixBus a few weeks ago and self-connecting was WAY better than going through customs on the Maple Leaf. On the Maple Leaf, it took 75 minutes to get off the train and get back on the train in...

Haha sadly I have not since I don't bike to work anymore. I switched to a corporate account in November 2022 and have only had 327 trips since then.

Weekends only. When I took the weekday train for the first time last month, it was packed because it was only 6 cars. At least we got there early since the 6 car trains can accelerate faster.

Bramalea Station actually isn't bad if you use this desire path to get to Orenda. You quickly end up on a bike path that goes to Bramalea City Centre and then all the way up to Bovaird.

Also, all the e-scooter companies seem to be expensive. $1.15 unlock fee + $0.40 per minute makes it more expensive than local transit for a 6 minute trip.

What's funny is that Niagara Falls, NY actually has an excellent bike share system, and you'd think theft/vandalism would be worse there. I actually signed up for a membership because it's so much more convenient than using NFTA in the summer when I'm there.

I took the 8pm train from Niagara last Sunday and the farthest bike coach from the station was pretty empty.

Used the bus bridge between Oakville GO and Burlington GO yesterday...what a nightmare. The Burlington GO to Oakville GO express bus was scheduled to arrive at Oakville GO on the :30 and on the :00. Trains were scheduled to leave Oakville GO on the :29 and the :59. We got to Oakville GO a few...

This would be amazing. Even Niagara Falls, NY has a decent sized bike share system. I signed up a while ago when they had a $1/year + $0.01/minute promo and it has come in handy a few times when I wanted to get back to the bridge quickly. I did this ride yesterday to save myself a half hour...

Made it to Niagara in record time today with the new schedule, cause I'm crazy enough to make the 2 minute connection to the bus at Burlington GO. Total trip time was 1 hour 40 minutes from Union to Stanley/420. Looks like they're doing another unscheduled 10:45pm post fireworks train...

Very odd that GO released a new Niagara schedule last week and now they're changing it again? I guess we'll see in a few hours. But it looks like it's being reported by the local news as well:
