    Toronto Pearson International Airport

Its the wrong belief to have. A planes natural design is at high speeds is to want to fly. You actually have to fight with a plane to get it to land. Speed brakes, flaps and slats, reverse thrust, all designed to try to stop a plane from flying. Its often much safer to fly again and try again...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

All street level track transit in Toronto has the ability and the technology implemented for full signal priority. Every single one is completely neutered and made basically useless by the boomers at Toronto Transportation Authority.

    Montréal Transit Developments

Toronto: We are having issues connecting Dundas West and Bloor GO because of private lands in between which we need to expropriate and the developers are not being easy to get along with. Montreal: THE DOOR IS LOCKED!!

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Which is the worst part of the plan by far. Hopefully a politician with some sense will intervene and fix that, much like changing Sheppard to a subway extension instead of the cockamamie plan to force riders onto an LRT midway.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I have taken the TTC Line 1 Finch subway for the first time in months about 5 or 6 times, and every time we absolutely crawled from Eglinton to Union and back the whole way. Majority of times are off peak. What's going on? I thought ATC was supposed to solve everything, and now it's slower than...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

But I mean these two Hurontario parts were originally planned by the previous Liberal government and cancelled as well too. The loop by the PC's and the portion north by Brampton council.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Yes, they should not be closing this station!

Lack of meaningful Passenger Rail service outside the Quebec-Windsor Corridor

The most infuriating one is the Toronto North Railway, which would have provided a perfect right of way from Kennedy subway station to STC and Malvern. Instead we have been fighting over a subway/LRT/SRT thingy for over 30 years at the cost of billions.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Crashworthiness and other factors are an issue because of strict TC regs. VIA looked into replacing this train with RDC's and CN denied them.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Took it many times to Sarnia back in the day. It was the super old Green interior HEP1's more often found on the Canadian. Tons of leg room though.

    VIA Rail

Interesting, so LRC's pulled by F40's are restricted to 95MPH. Obviously yes it would make sense to always pair an LRC consist with P42's. The issue I think is that some routes require dual-ended locos so they don't have to turn around, as LRCs dont have cab cars. I think its considered a...

    VIA Rail

Something I wasn't sure of so i'd ask here: I know the LRC's had an exception to go 100MPH on the Class 5 rail, it was not typical. The typical max speed is 95MPH I believe for other passenger rail. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rail_regulations_in_Canada#cite_ref-18) Now, its only 5MPH, but...

    GO Transit Electrification | Metrolinx

Its a complete misunderstanding and marketing failure of GO/Metrolinx. Their whole campaign is 15 minutes or better, but all people hear and remember is 15. Its like if a car advert was like "This car goes 40 km/h or better!" Currently some GO lines operate at every 7 minutes during rush...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The Woodbine location is even further from the residential area that was barely close enough to EN. I think there is a large gap now between Weston and Woodbine that could benefit from a station.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I really think MX needs to build a replacement station for Etobicoke North, a bit south of where it was. They are leaving a large community without transit after having it for 40 odd years. They could run it alternating with Woodbine like they are doing for Park Lawn/Mimico.

Some ebikes like Vanmoof have non-removable batteries

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

No. We are a province of 15 million people. We can do more than one thing at once.
