Of the 17, two are meant to be kept as spares. One is a hot spare, the other is a maintenance spare. Only 15 trains would ever be out in service. We know for a fact that all 34 vehicles function as they have all been seen in operation. It's just a matter of keeping 14 and 15 trains running...

34 vehicles are complete and handed over to the city (all for Stage 1). And additional 38 vehicles are currently anywhere between testing and assembly stages. Just remember that they operate in two-vehicle pairs, so 34 vehicles means 17 operational trains.

That site is missing many of the reports and other documents that were featured on the old site which is what concerned most people. The city has stated that the archived documents will be available on that site sometime soon.

In my opinion, what kills the Citadis (as-is) isn't the low floor design. The wheel hubs don't have a huge impact on passenger capacity. Yes, it'll be slightly lower than a high floor vehicle, but it's been shown that the low floor vehicles can and will be able to carry enough people. With doors...

That issue doesn't require new trains to be completed. It requires the trains they have to be operational. The plan called for a system to carry some number of ppdph. The platforms we have are long enough to achieve that. They are built to be extendable in the future when longer trains will be...

There were 17 pairs completed for Stage 1 totaling 34 vehicles. Some currently-unknown number of vehicles are in various stages of assembly at Belfast, but the number is greater than 4. 15 trains to provide 3 min service consistently. 34 vehicles were ordered with another 4 added through PTIF...

They had gone through some pretty disappointing orders with New Flyer and Novabus in the decade before.. the Orion VI's were probably the second best bus in the fleet after the D40i at that point.

The problem with the transitway was that not every bus would take me where you needed to go. For instance, I would have rather waited for the route 44 to show up than to take a 97 to Hurdman... and then wait for the 44.

It would be very curious if the city successfully argued that they are continuing to fulfill their railway duties by providing a pedestrian crossing, especially since those laws aren't written around passenger railways anyway. In that case, I believe he was referring to MOOSE being the...
