The waterfront LRT has made driving on the same road a complete nightmare. The LRT itself offers a pretty good experience, but you're trading too much to get that experience. At least in that respect, then yea, it is a "streetcar" except even worse.

I have actually made it part of my priorities to eventually run for a ward position in Scarborough (currently on the board of directors for my condominium complex) mostly due to this topic lol. But yea, my current position is to proceed with SSE, but add infil station for Lawrence in the future.

Here's an interesting take on this debate. For the die-hard subway supporters, what kind of alternative plan would have to be proposed for you to vote for that one instead of the current SSE? For me, if they bring back the sheppard LRT.

It happens to be what the majority wants, as opposed to the alternatives. Unless a better alternative is proposed, the SSE is the holy grail as far as transportation in Scarborough is concerned.

Honestly I don't think STC will be the terminal station forever. It will probably be the terminal station for awhile I guess..maybe 5-10 years.

Honestly at this point I think the best thing to do would be to just add back the Lawrence east station back to the SSE. I also hope that Shepperd subway would become a reality sooner than later. However given the current order of events, it seems 99% sure that SSE would happen first.

Looks like it's moving along still which is good I guess. Something about RT transfer to subway is a bit weird especially when STC is in the heart of Scarborough.
