That's the final steel for the last floor of the shorter of the two "towers". It's relatively insignificant considering the south tower also has a crown and the northern tower is taller still.

Yep, that steel puts us a couple of metres shy of the lower "towers" top. The top of the southern steel will be the top-most floor for that tower too from the looks of the plan.

Interested to see a) how the light plays off that (could get some cool sunset reflections) b) if there will be any snow/ice buildup (though one would hope they've thought of that).

FWIW the majority of this building is going to be a dark, almost black glass curtainwall, so we may actually appreciate the division between podium and tower when it's all said and done.

Renders seem to imply it will be a more silver/blue than this part of the tower. That said, there's renders that showed the glass we see up now as more grey/black and what we got is much greener - so think we'll just have to wait and see.

The wood panels are a nice touch, always appreciate a little warmth added. The kinks between the podium and tower are nice however will come down to whether or not they actually use curtain wall (not holding my breath). The heritage portion has a real chance to be a stunner!

Yeah it really does come down to lighting I think. If you look on the Database the larger render (first one) is definitely a greenish tint. The second photo however is completely grey. This is pretty small part of the tower, the real potential show stopper will be the tower itself.

Yeah it's...strikingly more green than the renders suggested. Still good quality though and it's somewhat out of context with just a few panes at this point.

That's my biggest takeaway. The density is happening in this area no matter what but it's the streetlevel that is just terrible across the board at this point. The colours would have really added something to the area but instead they're tucked away leaving us another glasswalled lobby that is...

Salesforce isn't sinking, it's Millennium Tower next door. And I think that's been sorted out now too.

Might as well eh? Would love for some more expressive lighting in the city - Salesforce Tower in SF, for example, has done a great job of that I think.

That box on the spire will inevitably be a logo which is kinda a bummer. I suppose it will be illuminated though which could be cool.
