Actually, based on the customer service of the TTC as of late, this would be right in line with how they treat customers.

    TTC: Customer Service

if there is a bright side to this, more people may decide to bike or walk. I know that's what I did when I worked at Spadina and King and had to commute from Dufferin and King. After quite a few times of being able to walk faster than the streetcar service and buying a suitable hybrid bike...

Rail: Ontario-Quebec High Speed Rail Study

"The province's plan in the 1970s was to build a 90-kilometre network of the unmanned trains throughout Toronto at a cost of $756 million. There was heavy opposition from advocates of a modern streetcar system." Thank you, Steve Munro

Even if this scenerio was put in place I can't see the TTC being able to manage it due to its complexity. They can barely manage spacing between streetcars on most of the lines including ROWs. I would guess that signalling would have to be upgraded and if we were to do that we might as well...

How to deal with subway failures

awesome! From the Toronto Sun: Bob Shea was late for his mother’s funeral today — one of about 60,000 rush-hour commuters delayed by a shutdown of the Yonge subway. The 61-year-old was among a packed crowd waiting near the Yonge-Bloor Sts. station for shuttle buses. “It’s never happened...

Hi All, I'm looking for a "drive clean" testing place open on weekends, one that I can get the test done almost like a jiffy lube, does anyone know of any in the westend of TO?

    TTC: Running out of tokens?

couldn't get tokens either, and for the cash price I ended up taking a cab, cost me a couple of dollars more but it was worth it! (plus, I was able to expense it) Nice job TTC, and as someone that owns a car (paid off and cheap on gas), count me as an occasional TTC user that won't be using...

What would you change if you were the chairman of the TTC?
