It will be interesting to see what it looks like painted red. I don't mind it either. Precast bricks have always been a bit too skeuomorphic for my liking. If it's not actual individually cast bricks (as some are, and look great), I might actually prefer a differently textured and painted precast.

That is the most pale red brick I’ve ever seen.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Yeah our winters are so overblown. I average less than 5 days a year where I don't bike due to snow. We barely get any snow here. I think a lot of people who live to the away from the waterfront don't realize how little snow we actually get downtown. I miss more days due to rain than I do due to...

Does it have to be either or? I think both Kipling and Islington should have bike lanes, but Kipling first because Royal York already exists close to Islington.

    Toronto Bike Share

Makes sense. People are more willing to pay for an e-bike to go uphill than downhill.

Also thinking about selling my personal bike. Have used it maybe twice (both times to visit the Toronto Islands) since getting Bike Share 8 over years ago now.

Not sure this sign was really necessary. The only people who park in the courtyard are construction workers every day. Do they really think regular drivers are going to hop the curb and park in the courtyard? I would have at least waited for it to actually happen before adding the unsightly sign.

    Toronto Bike Share

Looks like Montreal has better long distance connections, but Toronto has a much better grid already, though there are numerous small links that still need to be made.

That’s the effect of starting building out dedicated bike infrastructure years before Toronto, and their bike share service starting 2 years before ours.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I rode through here yesterday and was the only cyclist to actually follow the painted lines. Unfortunately pedestrians were all over the bike path and I got squeezed into that curb and hit my pedal on it. If this is the final design, it will definitely need some revisions.

I needed this years ago! I lugged an 8 foot long blackout roller blind home from the Davenport location on the bus/streetcar. It was quite an adventure.

The most flattering image of Time and Space I could possibly take. Still had to chop a little off the top tho.

A bit off topic, but I've been wishing for a proper sign on The Esplanade side of the South market for years now. It's just got a cheap vinyl printed sign right now.

Cancelled in 2021. It will be a condo no doubt.

Not only that but I find the QR scratched bikes are often in the best shape of any on the rack. I suspect it’s done by people using them for food delivery that want to keep a well tuned bike for themself for the day. The difference between a freshly tuned bike and the average bike is huge. I’ve...

Already some features I like with the app. The live timer as soon as you open it overlayed on the map is nice. I hope it’s soon tied into a the iOS timer so it displays natively. One thing I don’t like is I haven’t found a way to generate a code to unlock qr scratched bikes.the stats are cool...
