My only gripe with this project is this section that wraps around to block the southern views of the MOCA.. Feels quite claustophobic and could have done without this section altogether.

Good news! Pinch point gone :) Also looks like some new permanent curb coming to the south of the Havelock/Bloor intersection

I just wish they had incorporated these more smoothly with the recent turning lane they added at Havelock... it cuts a bit too much into the turning lane Also the "gap" between the ramp and reflective bollards isn't particularly the safest. Not sure why they don't move this closer to the ramp.

Agreed. That wood side looks particularly unfinished/temporary. Hopefully it's just a delay in materials? What they showed in the renderings was a bit more... elegant

Upgrades at the intersection of Bloor/Havelock are finally being installed. Unfortunately the last time I took this route, the road quality on Havelock between Bloor/Dewson was so bad that it almost made the southbound lane unrideable... ☹️

This route visual helped me understand:

I'm seeing that Markham St and the east-west driveway are being marketed as "pedestrian-oriented" streets. Anyone know if we are going to see actual restrictions on vehicular access? Or mostly just traffic calming?

As much as I hate Akelius... this reno is really a 10/10. Love how the placement of the rooftop pergola matches up with the water tower. A couple more pictures I found here.

Is that the lobby behind the columns? Should have been a no-brainer to have retail or a cafe directly facing the parkette here...

Looks like they've removed the metal window framing that they had installed in that one spot. I wonder if they've been scrapped altogether. I personally think it looks cleaner/less busy without them!
