Anyone got their cheque from Liberty for realty property tax?

We went with Brian Ingram (TD) and he assigned us to Thornhill TD branch, which is not that far.

Spoke with Silvia from liberty... You do not need to fill in the "Witnessed By" portion, just sign the document yourself and fax it back to them.

Perhaps talk with your lawyer? My lawyer was saying that they should be paying the entire bill for during occupency.

You will get a bill from Feb to whenever the government finishes assesing property tax amount. The builder will pay from Feb to June, minus some fees (not sure what yet). You will have to pay the city first, liberty will reimburse you with a cheque.

Oh that's just BS......Why can't we just send the bill directly to them, they should be paying for it, all of it!

Status update* I just called Liberty, and they said that they are preparing to send out letters this week.

I haven't heard anything from them as well.....

Hard to get a hold of the Contract Admin group.....tried to leave voice message but their voice mail was full. Anyone know if they will send the cheque to that individual person (owner) or to City of Toronto?

I agree with the noise thing, I'm on the 3rd floor and I can hear peoples convo on the main ground. I just set my air filter on med so that I can't hear people talking outside.

Anyone got their property tax bills? During occupancy; do we still have to pay for the property tax? Or the builder pays that portion? Thanks!

Nope, they said that if was within 1 year they would fix it but it is already over 1 year so it is our responsibility, even if your unit has no power, your responsible to call your own electrician to go downstairs and get access into the circuit room just to flip a switch.

No clue, the tarion representative specifically told me they don't warranty electrical work, the builder does that.

Tarion doesn't cover this issue. I guess up to Liberty HQ now, was advised by Ulanda that it will take couple days for this to get processed.
