Hope they do something similar to the Sheppard Centre.

Are Yonge and Sheppard retail stores Done For?

Not sure about Bombay Bhel.... but the whole block from Spring Garden to Hollywood will soon be demolished for sure. Pearl II is coming in place of Shwarma Max and Chez Laurent. Its taking a huge length of Yonge St.

    Whole Foods

Talk about jumping the gun. They're stating to advertise around Yonge and Sheppard. I got a flyer in the North York mirror last weekend. The sales weren't THAT enticing that I'd commute to Oakville or Yorkville for my groceries! lol

First time condo buyer: Yonge/Shep - Opinions requested

People buy into Yonge & Sheppard for CHOICES, you have the choice of walking, taking transit (TTC and GO) or driving. In my case, I bicycle daily from YS to dufferin/finch year round. Like others have said, live near your work. You work 5/7 vs go out 2/7. I agree, I ditched my car 4 yrs...

    Toronto Gibson Square Condominiums | 137.46m | 42s | Menkes | Rafael + Bigauskas

Looks like they're opening a sales office in the base of a condo development on Yonge, north of the Madison Centre and south of the Cadbury building. I forget the condo name, but its retail base includes a Rogers outlet, Running Room, and a Tim Horton's.

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

FYI, these towers are in a different school district due to overcrowding, i.e. kids are bused out for school.

    Bayview/Sheppard (NY Towers)

    a) probably not, the easterly LRT won't be much value for people living centrally (unless you work in scarborough or at the zoo) b) The neighborhood (bayview village) is beautiful with nice parks, ravines, and some limited conveniences. That being said, the amenities touted by UD2 are not that...

    Transit City Plan

The best western terminal would be the airport.

    What Toronto street is this?

Sheppard Ave W and Goddard St looking west. I'm thinking Portrait Condos, but I think that project is more east of the intersection.

    2nd Downtown: Yonge-Sheppard vs. Yonge-Eglinton

Just curious, have you seen the square recently? If not, check it out. There's a new artificial stream that runs from a fountain at Yonge down into the square. This place is a great multi-functional square with both open space and shade and a large amphitheater. There's a large reflection...

    Metrolinx $55 Billion Plan

Why don't they make use of the existing Sheppard line and run an LRT through the tunnel? Perhaps it can link up to Finch West along Senlac or the West Don river or Bathurst.

    North York

Welcome to the neighborhood! I live a few houses down from one of your pics in a post-war bungalow. I also abhor some of the new houses. I feel that these days, stucco is the new aluminum siding. They all look tacky and cheap. Keeping with the subject of trees, my house has a few...
