I think 180 Burnhamthorpe is the "field of trees" in the rendering. The middle set of buildings (with "exchange" written on it) is 152 Burnhamthorpe, and the lone tower to the east is a Kariya dr address.

Sure. It would be like 7 km long and would require like 8 locomotives. It's a waste of resources when other more practical means of transport available. In certain scenarios, there are trains (300 or so car lengths even up to around 600) that transport iron ore, but those mine sites are usual...

One laker can transport the same amount as 700 rail cars or 2,800 trucks. It's still more efficient to ship bulk cargo by vessel than another way (At least at the moment)

Seeing the buildings in real-life, the cladding is a let down. They should have gone with black spandrel. I hope the balcony glass is better quality than the cladding.

Why in Mississauga are so many of these developments far from the street? Especially along Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe?

Redevelopment of that corner would be great. Hopefully it includes office space and not just residential.

That's odd. Why would they not put a stop in the area between Elm and Central Parkway? There are a lot of apartment buildings in that area. Also, Burnhamthorpe and Robert Speck are spaced too close together. I'm assuming it's artistic license?

I suppose that's maybe why Failte Pub in 201 City Centre drive is not re-opening.

I'm hoping that doesn't happen for the park. It's nothing to write home about, but, at least the renderings and models show something better than an empty field. 🤷‍♂️

Just an aside, I'm curious how street addresses are assigned. I noticed M3 is listed as 505 Webb Drive, but the building will be adjacent to Burnhamthorpe. Also, M1 has a Confederation address and M2 is assigned an address to a new road (Quartz rd). Why not both Confederation, or why not the...

Because there will be some riders that hop on the 19 and expect it to take them to Port Credit. Can’t take for granted the number of riders that are oblivious to changes or new infrastructure.

IIRC, the City of Mississauga purchased the shorter tower from Daniels in order to provide affordable housing to those on Region of Peel social housing waitlist.

I'm sure there is a good reason for it, but I find it amusing how often they are moving the sales & construction offices. One would think it would be a good idea to set up the offices in a place that would be developed last. ?‍♂️?
