Alexander The Great Parkette Revitalization (Greektown BIA, FFLA)

Also I bet the A-frame sign has no permit and anyway it is blocking pedestrian clearway".

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

I will be VERY surprised to see significant work on the park until the excavation(s) are finished and all the site services are installed, if then. Have we actually even seen any plans or renderings or public consultations? (I think not.) Building a park before doing the work adjacent to...

Department stores are not doing well anywhere and if you link two or three sinking ships together they just drag each other deeper!

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

It is called 311 but things like this pole are actually NOT a City fix and in this case Hydro are well aware. The City also has a database of utility cuts and tries, with varying success, to get utilities to repair them properly within 2 years. The utility cut database is at...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

This wooden pole was erected as a temporary pole for traffic lights when someone was working on stuff at this intersection (there used to be others at other corners.) . It apparently belongs to Hydro and I have been talking to them about it for several years (yes, really). They cannot remove...

Yes, it's very sad to see HBC dying in front of us. If anyone has HBC gift certificates I suggest spending them soon.

    Streetcar Tracks on Adelaide

The TTC budget is HUGE, yes it's not unlimited but adding useful curves is an investment. Clearly they can't add them everywhere and some streets/corners are too narrow or have utility pits in the way but the problem is that they never even think of these kinds of things and on the few...

    St Lawrence Market

It is worth remembering that the buildings on Front & George adjacent to this lot (the Coras to the north and the Booster Juice to the west ) are NOT old. They were 'recreated' in the 1980s

    St Lawrence Market

There is someone making test bores in the parking lot (NW corner Front & George. I have seen this here before about 6 years ago but it is the last surface lot in the area and I can see some massive building being squeezed onto it!

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

All budget items (national, municipal, personal) must compete for $$. Of course it makes more sense to install a red light camera at a busy intersection in downtown Toronto than at a virtually untravelled one in some rural municipality. One size does not fit all.

    Shabby Public Realm

Though it is only part of the 'problem' the City DOES have a Streetscape Manual https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/planning-development/official-plan-guidelines/design-guidelines/streetscape-manual/ plus lots of Guidelines and Policies. Problem is that they seldom follow them themselves...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Though one clearly needs to look at cost and revenue figures, red light or streetcar cameras are NOT (primarily) aimed at raising revenue. They are there to ensure motorists obey the law and avoid killing themselves or others. Just because streetcar cameras might (and I am far from sure you are...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Yes, Cannes and many old European Cities look great but we will not see them here. Might as well post photos of Mount Athos transportation.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

The fines do not go to the police so added $$$ are not an enticement but it IS puzzling why the City & TTC (who pressed the Province to allow camera enforcement) have yet to actually install any (??) cameras on streetcars!
