    I did not say it was great idea only that it would be cheaper than a bridge (which would need to be VERY tall (or move) as many ships use the Eastern passage ) but a bridge to Wards or a tunnel to Hanlon's both go the the 'ends of the island'.

    I suspect that if we had an external audit of the bus network it would also reveal serious shortcomings similar to those revealed for streetcars and subways. In fairness, both subways and streetcars have far more 'infrastructure' that the TTC maintains (or should). Rails, power, tunnels...
